EPA, front wheel drive, more stuff in smaller cars, cheaper to produce, throw away mentality of society = we're screwed....

I really have not been pushing it. I got several people who looked at it, and offer me anywhere from $4000-$4500.. wife said she does not want to sell it for under $4800. she is not in a hurry.

We are done. It was $140 but that included transmission fluid needing replaced. Just take my word for it, the alternator on a 2005 Ford Escape (or Mazda Tribute or Mercury Mariner) is in one of the worst possible locations.

He quoted $125 and despite the extra work, that was our cost and he was pretty professional and nice guy. We did tip him and were grateful. He did point out we will need tie rods soon so we'll be doing that once we get home. At the end, we are up and running again. Keep this guy's info and please recommend him to your friends. I would also love for you to mention he got the referral from the chick who had work done in the Holiday Inn parking lot!!

I don't care. We told him it wasn't an easy job. He was nice, professional and got the job done. Part if the problem was he was in their vehicle with no power tools. I would definitely call him again though.

With all this talk of breaking down I thought I would throw out the info for a long time friend, and former brother in law of my brother. He owns a tow service. His name is Lee Waltrip and his number is 479 872-1251. You can see his big yellow flat beds at his house on the West side of 540 around Lowell area. Nice guy and will treat you right. Drop my name for an extra charge.

So Matts Dr. tells him he can't quite pinpoint what is wrong with him but tells him he thinks it could be the drinking. Matt says, "ohh, ok then I will just come back later when your sober".

Kind of depends what kind of shape your in. Going in is easy, coming back out had me breathing hard and I consider myself in pretty good shape for a 56 year old.
