Cool2 "FIFI" pilot

Now we run 85000-95000lb takeoff weight and max gross back in the day was 140,000lb but they overloaded 'em for the special delivery firebombing raids.

6K is the min length by 100'. I've taxied her on a 45' wide taxiway and didn't need a seatbelt to keep me in place. I had a firm grasp of that seat cushion!

We get the nose light at 90mph and let her fly off around 125mph. Minimum controllable airspeed on the ground is 150mph and in the air with the wings banked 5deg into the good engines its 125 and wings level it's 135 and with two engines out on one side it's 140mph. So there's a bit of time during every takeoff that you'll have to close the throttles and land straight ahead. Nice thing is we're so light that we accelerate quickly through that area....... We just use conservative numbers, but run a weight and balance for all takeoff's and landings and compute stall speed so we can come up with approach speed (stall plus 30).

I'm heading down to sunNfun on the 28th and will fly her home around the 7th.

Gonna miss u guys, but I guess you can understand.......I really wanted to do SLAP with my brother.
My neighbor says he used to know "FIFI's" pilot, a guy named Sherman Kenyon. He said he reminded him of a Bantam Rooster.

It's all good.
As you obviously decided. Way better to spend time playing games with the son then to worry about me owing you a beer.

The triple sampler is good. Fried shrimp, fried alligator, and fried catfish. All nestled on a bed of seasoned fries. Topped off with a glass of sweet tea. Life sho' is good.

Pure dumb luck

Stopped at the EZMart to fuel up Yellaphant on the way home from work tonight. Got to the house and realized my wallet was missing. Crap! Once again I didn't get in my pants pocket good and it slid right down my leg and out the bottom.
Jumped in the truck, hustled back into town, pulled into the parking lot....

And sho' nuf! Wallet laying on the ground next to the pump. Everything still in it. (not like there was a large amount of cash or anything)

Back home for a leftover burger and some ice cream.

Yepper, when I can't find my wallet, that sinking feeling is a real downer.

Glad you had a happy ending.
