They were some where safe so I wouldn't loose them. Tailbag. So rode to work after I got the 990 over the little tree in the drive.

Thanks everyone for the offers. The screw is machined at the end, so not just any ol' screw will do. I found a guy on here that has one and he's sending it out today. $3 for the screw, $9 for shipping. Go figure.
I will definitely be putting some silicone on it before I put it back in. It might be time to just go over the bike and make sure everything is snug. Don't really plan to ride for the next few days, but if I find out the part wont be in for a while I may take someone (Ted) up on a replacement until I get it. My neighbor had brought over a few old carbs he had laying around to see if one of those would fit. No luck. Everyone of them a had a different design. Really I'm not that worried about it. Like I said, it could have been worse. It probably wouldn't have taken much to set that fuel on fire, then this story could have been totally different. I had a little Angel riding with me I guess. |

I'm enroute to Blue Mound, Ks to ride part of the Flint Hills. Stopped at Pierce City, Mo for breakfast. My route has been decent so far but Missouri must be on a major paving campaign. So far about 60/40 dirt though.

420. You hippies.
I need someone to powerwash the outside of my Fayetteville house (2 story work) and do just a little bit of trim painting (doors) so I can gain some riding time. Any suggestions? I may actually be able to ride some this weekend, although I need to change all the fluids on all the bikes first.
