We all know its about 10 degrees cooler up there anyway, and take additional 5 degrees out for being away from the concrete jungle..

Yeah, that brings the temperature down to 90*, add a pressure suit, riding pants, riding shorts, socks, boots, and a hydration pack and your back to 98*

So tell me, why not strap that big yellow duffle low on the trailer instead of up high on his pillion? Rig looks scary to me. But everything scary to me lately!

Road trip tomorrow!

Our B24 had a mishap in Charlotte, NC so I'll be at the hanger at 0530 to be ready to roll in the squadron pickup (full of sheet metal, brake, tools and supplies) around 0600 with a co-pilot. When we get her patched up hopefully I'll fly as co-pilot to bring her home and complete the fix.

I flew in to Charlotte a few years back and picked up my KLR and rode it back to Dallas......in the middle of December.......in pouring 38 deg rain . Was going for an iron butt, but the rainX died on the visor around Meridian, MS

Naa....I'm at home in Dallas. Driving 1030 miles tomorrow to get there. At least it's on one of the busiest days of the year for driving

I agree with that. Getting the weight off the bike would help with flicking the bike back and forth.

Stator seems to work, and even the GPS you hard-wired in! Thanks.

Now I just have to get used to the minor button changes:
Hit Kill switch for left blinker,
Hit High beam for right blinker,
Hit Starter for Lights,
Tap brakes to engage starter.

Should make an interesting ride.

Didn't you come down to "Fools on a hill" in Feb & I missed you because we was buying the PG house? Last I remember when we hooked up, you and Charlie came but that was a lot before that, we went up Nebo then also. ?????

Get some rest as tomorrow will be a long day.... Hope all the repairs are easy to get into ferry condition. Will be great if you can get the gear to function & not have to fly all the way with the gear 'down'. Although that would give you a lot more flight hours..... Hope you do get out of the tuck ride back.
Keep is informed on what went wrong & what the maintenance guys learned to check on inspection from this incident.
Stay cool....
Gus
