Ok, so who knows alot about fayetteville history?

there was apparently a mine just north of mission, slightly south of Root School in 1940.

does anyone know what was mined there?

Ill ask my neighbor the next time I see him, he and his family built much of that part of town, he seems to remember much of it.

Heck yes metal detecting is FUN! I've got a Tesoro Bandito II I've had for 10+ years and more recently picked up a Tesoro Compadre'. The Bandito takes a bit to setup each time you use it, but it detects deep. The Compadre is a turn on and go machine and it fun to grab and use quickly. I did alot of detecting up in MO near our old farm and old homesites, you never know what you'll find! I'll check out that link.

Wooley Hollow June Camping Event

Hey Guys! I have been looking at the Wooley Hollow area and see that it is a ways from any good riding. I have been thinking that we should move the event to Blanchard Springs. I have already spoken with Daren (Tennessee Thumper) who lives on the Sylamore Creek just outside of Mountain View and he said we could camp there. Use his shower and toilet or we could camp at Blanchard Springs or Jacks Fishing Resort again. I have asked him about electrical hookups for you cpappers and RV types. I hadn't received a response as yet but I am sure he has power we could hook to. I promised him we would make it worth his while if he let us use some of his power.

Anyway, I think that is what we need to do. Let me know your thoughts. Here is a link to The Toymans post on the event cause he has some pictures of Darens place. There is all kinds of room for camping and it is a really nice spot. He said he had a fire pit and a grille we could use. I plan on taking my grille anyway. The date is June 15th-17th.
