One day I will have it covered...my trusty XT, a DR or equivalent, and a mondo 1200 ADV. Plus maybe a Burgman because Krings was AWESOME.....now THAT is riding in comfort.

PS. I ain't booshitin about a trip next summer. I can meet you somewhere outside the land of despair...or you can meet me there and we can tour southern NM, AZ and work our way north. yeah yeah I know it isn't CO/ID/MT.
I got a cousin that lives in Albuquerque and have visited him a few times. I love New Mexico! It's got some great riding, though I've just been 4x4ing it there.

Ted I feel for ya.
I got a seat belt ticket last night from a DOT cop.
They pulled me into a Church parking lot to do the "inspection" he looked at the registration of the truck and insurance papers and wrote the ticket.

I asked him if they had permission to use the Church lot? HE got really irritated that I asked that question. I passed the same spot 4 times after that in the night and they moved a few miles up the road out of the Church lot.
I think I hit on an issue he didn't want to talk about.

Hey Magoo,
I'm not really a bug guy like you and Scott. Actually, I'm retiring from teaching this December and going back to work for myself full time. Guess that diploma will just have to look pretty on the wall from now on.

You sure those weren't Connies you saw? The COG National Rally is in Eureka this week. It could have been ST though as sport tourers all kind of mingle together. Besides, you would've had to see me on a RT now. I sold the ST and switched to BMW back in March. Going to take it out west at the end of the month for it's first long trip.
Keep the shiny side up,
Mike

I haven't ridden southern NM. Last year we rode 64 to Chama, NM before heading back to CO and on to the rest of the trip. My favorite state so far to ride is Idaho. We are going to spend at least 4 days there before heading to Glacier NP this year. I'm sooooo ready to get away for a while.

I almost bought a GSA instead of the RT. I'm just a little too vertically challenged for that bike. All I could think about is "can I pick this thing up fully loaded?" Cuz I could see me dropping it - alot.

The CRF 230 story? Yeah, I've got a brand new CRF70F too that's for sale. Let's just say my son is not wire like his Dad. We ended up with a Polaris RZR 570. He likes to go, just not on his own ride......that I can't understand but he is a good kid and I can't complain. I just need to unload them somehow. I've been too busy to get serious about listing them. I'd make someone a hell of a deal. Sure you don't want to load them on the UHual before headin west?
Mike

Doc went down on a slimy low water bridge this afternoon. Possibly broke a rib or two. We/I struggled to get the XR doing as the kick start pedal was hitting the foot peg. I had to push the beast up hill for a block to bump start it. We made it back to ES and Doc refused a tow home. More when I get back to my house.
