Hey you guys know any good back roads to get from around Bella Vista to Fayetteville? The freeway is boring, dangerous, difficult, and eats gas. Pavement preferred.

Just ride down the median of I540. Convenience, with little to no traffic.

If you set on pavement surfing, you could ride the shoulder, either side would work.

I over heard you once speaking terribly about the f800gs.

what made you see a 1200 differently?

I was in there, Friday, maybe it was Sat.. it is quite possible that I drooled on your new bike.

haha

You Dawg!!!! You went and beat me to my bike.

I've been drooling over that thang for weeks.

I hope you have as much good luck with your GS as I've had with mine. I just got home from a trip and it rolled over 177K miles. Most dependable machine I've ever owned.

Didja get bags and such with it? If not, what're ya gonna slap on there?

Ha yeah Mat, I don't plan on riding much dirt with this bike too heavy and too expensive to fix (though that could change...) got the WR for that. I felt the Goldwing was just too heavy and so after a short test ride I knew this was what I wanted for pavement trips.

O'Jay probably put Jesse's on it but doing the protection farkles first been so hot I only have about 200 miles on it. Cry'n shame I tell ya.

Have to do Like Scotty did and ride real early before it get too hot. Made a couple Eureka Springs loop rides but not much else yet. Hope it is a good one. I know you and others on here love this bike so I have high hopes.

PS: I did find a few cooties on it but took the blow torch to them so I think I'm safe now...

Take a look at the Alu-Trax bags from Twisted Throttle as another option for aluminum panniers. I've got Pelican cases on mine from Caribou Luggage and have been real happy with 'em. Had Jesse's at one time but too heavy and noisy for me.
Trekkers from Givi is another good option.
