Right, Gus, I was on the camera. CrazyApple's age judgement is about normal for teenagers. Everyone over 21 is a senior citizen. In any case, 110 registered last year, about 50 in the picture.

If you show up CA, don't sign up for the lead group in the long ride....you WON'T be able to keep up with the old farts.....jus' sayin'.

Meanwhile, I'll be leading the "sedate" group, which always brings back more pictures and stories (some are even true).

These were soft, sticky slicks, or a track tire with just enough tread to call it DOT legal? I ran Metzeler MEZ 2. This was the sport+mileage tire that lasted longer than the MEZ 1 sport tire.

hey doc i seen that old post from you on the AR slap trax thread. im talkin bout the Elkins to warloop rd in mountainburg route. but my computer wont let me download the info . think maybe ya cud email the track to me or even just tell me the roads and ill do the rest haha

Yup DOT race tires. You could race in both supersport and superbike classes with DOT's. Only superbike with slicks. Back then it was Michelin Pilot Races on the endurance bike and Metzler's on the sprint bike. I ran a couple MEZ1's on my 04 R1, holy crap those things wore out fast. Couldn't even get 1K miles out of em.

Boy, send some of it down our way.

Lately its been in the low 90's and upper 80's when I leave for work at 6 AM... and getting in the upper 90's and 100+ still.

Ah well... come the second week of September, wife and I are either:

1. Leaving for the Black Hills of SD on our Ultra.

2. Leaving for Colorado in our 4WD and likely tagging the trailer along with our dirt bikes.

Depends on which region has the best 10 day weather forecast about 3 days prior to departure.
