Welp... things are getting interesting at the ol' hacienda. Honey Buns and I will be leaving for a vacation SOMEWHERE on the morning of the 8th. For the past few weeks, we've been aiming at that "somewhere" being the Black Hills aboard our H-D Ultra. Even got it all serviced... new tire on back... all cleaned up n' spit polished and ready to roll.

The plan was simple: Check the 10 day forecast for the Black Hills about two days before departure and if it's acceptable... Plan A, the Black Hills, it is. If not, Plan B was trailer our dual sport bikes out to Colorado behind our 4WD and do some dual sporting on good weather days, and 4WD/other stuff on rainy days.

BUT...

IF we go with Plan B, then we need to do some planning for that, too. So, out came the "Motorcycling Colorado" book we purchased a while back for touring bike trips. Lo and behold... therein can be found dual sport rides, too!

Long story shorter: We've found some SUPERB looking dual sport rides that Honey Buns can handle and experience backwoods Colorado aboard our DS bikes. Excellent scenes to see/etc. So, today some stuff was ordered for my WR250R and we ordered a new Pak Jak for Honey Buns, etc. Gotta' be ready to roll with Plan B, too, right???

The scales are beginning to tip in favor of Colorado.

Either way we go... WE'RE GETTIN' EXCITED!!!

Hell, bring it over, I can do all that easy enough. Just go pick up a seat and tires.

the most you "might" get out of it would probably be a 230, maybe a 240..and even then, you could sacrifice reliability...if you want a 250, might think abt selling it and shop for a 250
