Agreed. No matter what happens in CO, you'll be able to send back temperature reports to us baking suckers back here!!

It's not even supposed to hit 100 in Kansas either!!

I never had time to find out who did it or see the pictures. It was probably one of the third party guys that do ground support, surely it wasn't one of our mechanics. They might tell the contractor we don't want that guy here anymore, but usually they don't run people off for mistakes. Deliberate violations of procedure or wreckless behavior though, and you are gone. I bet that guy follows the painted lines from now on if he does still have a job.

As I was typing that I just realized that last night I dreamt I was trying to start the aircraft and I couldn't, then realized the blades were still tied down. Glad that was just a dream. Has happened twice since I have been there, neither were fired. I have jumped in the seat in a rush and realized they were still tied, but never tried to start it. I am pretty paranoid about that, it is the first step on the checklist after all.

Wife is working today so I am stuck baby sitting both little ones. I should of rode my bike to the gym this morning. If I had my trailer we could go for a ride. They do have baby sitting at the gym, maybe I will just take them and pay the fee.

TC:

The high heat sucks. IF you were going, you should have been on the road at daybreak. Now it IS going to be a hot sun of a gun.

Upside: Once out in CO it will be excellent and you'll love it.

Downside: Getting there through OK and KS will be like riding through hell.

According to Weather, com today's high temps will be:

Tulsa, OK: 107
Witchita, KS: 107
Dodge City, KS: 101
Limon, CO: 87 w/30% chance of showers

Best of luck whatever you decide.

Oh, don't be such a gloomy Gus, Vinduro. I'll stick by my info that it won't hit 100 in KS (Hays, that is). ;)

Ted:
"It's not the heat, it's the humidity"!
"As long as you keep moving, the breeze will help!"

Ride safe, whenever you go.

I never crashed not taking non emergency flights that did not feel right or avoiding weather that did not look good.

Got nuff $$$ for the mandatory arrest costs when they catch you at those speeds without help from your buddies?

You have been out there before, is it going to be fun nuff to compensate for the travel time as it now stands?

ahhhh, just go, then your man card will be so big Doc won't be able to say nuttin. That should be incentive enough.

Be safe & sane, just have fun even if you do not get out of your front yard. Happy is a choice, not a condition.

No problem Val... feel free to load up and head out and find out which forecast is the most accurate!

I make no bones that I do not like riding in heat. Those that do: Go for it.

As for us: We're going to do the wimp thing and trailer our dual sports out ot Colorado.

Only 5 more days till departure time!

I promised my son we would head to Mill Creek this afternoon. I'm thinking it's way too hot, he's thinking we should go...ugh. I'd rather take him to a movie and go riding on a cooler day. I'm like Ted I guess, too damn hot!

I'm with Doc:

We're getting ready to head out in a few minutes... in our A/C car!

Me n' Honey Buns are going to Talihina, OK to Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner for a great lunch. Excellent food, great atmosphere. Few days ago we had hoped to do it aboard the HD Ultra... but Ma Nature took care of that for us!

You all enjoy the holiday no matter how you chose to do it!

Vinduroman

P.S. Wonder what TC decided to do?

Just BS'n. Took me a while to find a KS high under 100. Y'all are right, you do what is fun for you! I bailed on riding a loaded bike in CO in July because it was too much like work!

Ted, you may be getting smarter!!!
