Well Charlie I saw Oogieloves Big Balloon Adventure yesterday. You get a glow stick butterly magic wand with your ticket. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendation Daron but I think my kid might be too old for that one.

Hi Girlz

Kathe and I are hanging out at Atlanta Bread Co in F'ville. Was a toasty ride here from Ft Smith by way of Natural Dam. I think we may head straight for the house and get in cool down mode.

That was pretty funny Elvis70.

TC:

Are you going to wait until the sun breaks over-center and hopefully cool a bit later on then head out today? I "assume" you're going to run through Tulsa/Wichita/Dodge City to Colorado that way? Or, are you headed for the Denver area, in which you could run straight north later tonight to position yourself to head west on I-70 tomorrow?

Weather at Wichita KS right now is 104 and is to top out at 105 before the day is over. Tomorrow for Wichita the high is to be 102.

Weather for Kansas City is:

Right now: 95 (The forecast high)
Tomorrow's high: 97.

But, you'd be long gone from KC before tomorrow's high hit 'cha.

You don't have any truly good options in regards to leaving pronto. Do you have a trailer? Maybe opt to trailer out of the heat and ride the rest the way?

The forecast highs for Saturday and Sunday are 76-78 degrees for the high. Relief is commin' boys, don't give up yet.

Spotted a sweet lookin' black KTM Adventure on AR 59 as we headed out to see Doc this afternoon.

The new Cabelas is AWSOME!!!
Great selection, fairly reasonable prices (of course they can be beat online), but GAWD was it crowded today.

You know down in the Gulf this has been an unusually cool, cloudy, and rainy summer. I say the resulting cooler water temps was what Kept Isaac from being another Katrina. Look at the size of the storms diameter and the how organized the eye was and how low the center of pressure was it should of been much worse. It was worse actually for Plaquemines Parish on the East side of New Orleans. Levees over topped there and the area filled up like a cereal bowl. They had to blow holes in them to let the water out. They were scheduled for upgrade with federal dollars in 30 days. Better late than never I guess.

Thanks for looking out for me! Nah I gave up today. I ended up catching up on some needed sleep and played with the kids all day. They make it hard to leave! The plan now is to roll out about 6am, prob head north then hit dodge city etc on the way out. I think I can roll into CO at a decent hour that way.
