kma Chuckles.
This morning I followed a purdy little coed who was walking through the middle of the lane in a parking lot, typing on her phone (tweeting Doc, no doubt). After a couple minutes (seriously, like 3 full minutes), she turned to realize there was a line of vehicles behind her. She wandered to the side of the lane. I parked and had to watch her some more (for numerous reasons ). She proceeded to turn right down a sidewalk that has been closed due to construction for a year, and walked full-face into the chain link fence, knocking the phone out of her hand. She continued on her way, and resumed typing. She turned to see if anyone watching (she didn't catch my eye, as I was doubled over laughing). ![]() When riding out there, remember, she likely drives with the same "attention".

![]() I figure you've been down that Ford Ridge Rd (CR 1019) before? It was a very nice track, but I don't know why GPS thought it was the direct route to Shores Lake from where we were on Old Locke Rd.

Tim,
The old Garmin "Roads and Recreation" maps show several other roads branching off, looks like an interesting ride. Oh, and funny stuff on the coed!

If I only had Garmin R&R, I really like the small roads showing up. There are lots of very wide, maintained side-roads off of it, but they don't go anywhere, as far as I can tell. The two roads that show up on your Garmin map running off of it to the west, then heading south do not show on the new Garmin maps as going through. Lots of hunting camps down there, though.

RnR is not routable. You can use it to lay out a track though. Occasionally you can get a copy from Ebay.

Yeah, I saw chatter on it somewhere on ADV and have been looking for a copy. I understood that you can load it's map on the GPS, or was that incorrect?

Hmmm, Not sure you can use it on the 550? I keep it in Basecamp and Mapsource. I use it to do a direct route switching back and forth from CNNA and RnR. Layout a route in CNNA as you normally would, switch to RnR and direct route on an area in CNNA that no longer shows the road, then back to CNNA and drag continue the route again.
