yep..as in broke..the sprocket is a aluminum billet and they put on the back side a steel ring that is crimped on the sprocket..it helps to keep the belt on. Well that steel ring came off and no way to put it back on, short of a machine shop with a heavy stamp press to crimp it back on. Best we can figure is that maybe it was abt to fail anyway and if it had at hwy speed, it could be catastrophic and I was lucky it happend with the wheel off the bike, or maybe we knocked it off while it was on the tire stand as we were trying to bust the bead..

Finally

I sold my Triumph Tiger tonight "as is". (sucka)

Headed to Fayetteville then Springfield tomorrow to look at a coupla bikes. Having brunch at Rogues Manor with friends in the morning first.

Gonna be a busy day.

I always remove the belt sprocket when mounting a Harley tire to keep from putting it in a bind. Plus if I scratch or warp a $200+ pulley I gotta buy a new one for the customer. Only gotta do that once to learn a lesson.
