Tedley Advice
Ok, Ted and others after this mornings ride in I need some advice.
How do I keep myself from over reacting and or just forcing the bike further over in extreme braking in a corner? I have been doning fairly well lately with this, hit a bit of gravel on the street mid corner and just let it slide a bit and not grab brake. However this morning I had two instances. 1.) accelerating hard coming up a hill and through a corner I run everyday on the way to work. Hit some gravel and I immedieately grab a bit of brake and let the bike straighten up enough to almost not make the rest of the corner on the pavement. Ted think of my crazy movements two years ago in CO. You know after most of the morning following Advhawg through some easy corner. I hit one at mod speed and just did the freak you saw in the mirror, or was I in front of you. 2.) Decide I need more practice after 1 so took an alternate rd with more curve on the way in. First couple fine then passed a jeep when I had the opportunity which lead me into triples as I went into the right hand corner. Well as I hit the appex I can see a friendly County PO sitting in the ditch in the right hand ditch just beyond the end on the curve. Well I grabbed a lot of break to get it down to 55 in a 45 as I went by the nice PO again resulting in me scooting just over the center line just beyon mid corner. Thoughts, advice beyond the common sense slow you arse down? Just concentrate on pushing the inside of the handle bar forward and down a bit harder? Thanks, The nut connecting the handlebars to the seat.

I'm thinking you need to wait for a bunch of pirates to come by. Follow em and observe their stellar riding technique. Oh, and have three beers like Larry and slow down.

Pushing your personal limits and riding too fast on public roads with unknown traffic and road conditions, hummmm let's see..........
Sounds like a silly way to get away from your new girl friend. Sounds like you are not impressing anyone. Sounds like you have never heard of Hallet Raceway in OK. Sounds like you have never head of the racing schools in CA. and other place where the pros teach you ...... Can I get in your will because you have some neat stuff that I can use next week? I'd really rather have you around to tease for years to come. Quit being STOOPID............

Kris is taking a beating!
All I try to keep in my head Kris, is the bike im on is way more capable to rail a corner than I give it credit for. If i'm in a corner too hot, I try to keep my mind straight and just look on through the corner and add some more countersteering. We have all gotten in too hot or been daydreaming and panicked..like you did in CO. I've always been a fan of trail braking, sometimes I use it, sometimes I dont. Heck hit Albie up, He is probably more knowledgeable about that kinda stuff. I've ridden sportbikes for years and basically taught myself how to ride, I've never been good at explaining how to ride. But like everyone said, slow the f*ck down! =)
