what's the Winter like? I ride down to about the 20 F if it is not slippery.
Compared to Wi. it's warmer, wetter and windier. The occasional ice storm is worse than the infrequent light snows.

Thanks,

hey Joe - two good words when it comes to winter weather "Occasional" and "infrequent".

So I am assuming that they don't dump a ton of salt on the roads like they do here in cheese land. That's the two things that keep me from riding, slippery roads or salty roads. So far so good in WI , no snow yet, no salt Last year the start of winter here was pretty snow free until early december

They will sometimes salt a bridge. They usually just dump sand on them. Sand is slick too.

oh we get our share of road salt n sand...as Joey said, they will salt/sand the bridges and they will also hit the hills too..come spring time, there is so much dirt on the roads that some how, it still manages to get past the goggles..

BUT, since I ride more dirt than hwy anymore, it don't effect me!

Morning gents; posted this earlier over in thumpers, thought I might share it here

Found this website, lists non ethanol gas stations by city/state; doesn't appear to list all of them in my area, but definitely has some I didn't know about...

http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp

Btw, still haven't made up my mind between the DR650 and WR250x, both great bikes.

In looking at the ride posts you all have put up, it looks like a great area.

thanks for any info.

Chuck, Albie, Larry.

Bored this morning, can't ride. Looked at my topo for that cemetery where we turned around. The road at the end (Albie balked) went nowhere anyway. Shows the drop well.

Only good bbq around here is homemade. The rest is mediocre at best.. Sort of like Chili without beans.
