Almost done putting the Gixxer together. Just waiting on a tank and a windscreen.
Actually have a rear tail piece on order to replace this one, it's got some rash on the end of it. ![]() The original front cowl was broken and rashed so I got a replacement off E-Bay. ![]() The upper triple was trashed when the ignition was busted so I got a little bling! The mid and lower fairings have a few blemishes and the mirrors as well, but I can live with it.

Last Ride of the Year
Ok, so check this out. We could start from Natural Falls State Park in West Siloam Springs, Ok and turn to the backroads. There is a low water slab across the Illinois River and then ride into Chewey for a snack break at the Chewey Store. From there, follow the river south to Combs Bridge, then around Sparrowhawk and Bathtub Falls to Pumpkin Hollow Road and out to Briggs. Then into Tahlequah to B & J Restaurant to end the ride and say farewells.
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...h&z=10&vpsrc=6 This is mostly gravel road and VERY scenic backroads. We might have to hire a farmer with a tractor and flatbed depending on the depth of the water that day. Any adv's from Arkansas interested? __________________ "I'll be back when my attitude changes" www.twowheelsthreeamericas.com

Bill, how far can you go on a tank of gas on your XR650R ? We were riding a few weeks ago and ran out of fuel as we came into the station. See, I told you we'd have an adventure today.Took two gallons fill it up, thought it was the three of four gallon after market tank. May have to check the strainer and see what's up. How about a Rotopax or bigger tank ? What do you think ?
Must be getting old, "weak mind, strong back" We'll ,even my back threw me a new one yesterday. Was riding the XR over the pond bank (can't seem to stop once i get started) and my back felt like someone stuck a knife in it. Was in mid air when it happend, didn't have any rough landings or nothing. A wise man once told me when you get older your back goes out a lot more then you will Guess I'm lucky I got out last weekend to ride.

Craig
I can go 140 hit reserve with 1 gal left you will need to lay the bike down on its right side and pick it back up then you can ride about 30 more miles. My XRR makes me feel young again till I get off. I have the Clark 4.6 tank
