well sucks to waste a trip, but as posted already, likely saved you some headaches later on.

did you get rid of the dr250?

are you planning to keep the rotax beemer as well as a larger bike?

I heard once some cheaper more common ones were available, they were space shuttle booster shims, or saturn 5 rocket shims... something like that.

cheap and easy to find.

The Harley shim kits don't have the ones I need this time around. New valves so have to go back to thick shims. Probably could have got what I did get done a lot quicker. Had the pull the cylinder off twice cause I did something wrong. That wasn't bad as forgetting to put the cam in before putting on the head, ended up having to drop the motor to get the damn thing in.

that sounds like the way I do things..



at least you will be very familiar with the beast, you know for the next valve adjustment, or rebuild in a couple of hundred miles.
