Wish I could ride to lunch with y'all. I found a long lost relative of Kimberly's in Pine Bluff and we got in late after a visit.

Enjoy the ride!

and I agree with it completely joe.

If I thought everyone carrying a weapon was qualified to use it, I would sleep better at night.

The sad part is, I know folks that carry, and cant hit the broadside of a barn.

many of them are hot headed, and brandish in traffic.
they would take on folks they wouldnt normally in non-lethal scenarios, simply because they are carrying.

those are the imbeciles that I am not a fan of.

Going in from that north would be easier than coming out that way.
Assuming you can ride down that friggen rock garden hill.

Make sure you get the tracks from frog bayou thread there is several ways out, we didn't know about.

Couldn't agree more Mouth. Those kinda folk probably aren't licensed. The licensed have a lower instance of criminal activity than sworn LEO's.

Again, your assumptions...

they are all licensed, but one is an LEO, and one runs a local firing range.

Again, you're assuming I'm assuming about the LEO/CC crime rate. I'm not.

But instead of posting a link I'll offer you the opportunity to look for it. You may find some other interesting stats about the issue.

Sorry to hear you bump into people behaving badly with weapons. Of course if it happens to you a lot you may want to look in the mirror and ask that guy .....

IM not sure you understood my underlying message joe.

Im not the one on the receiving end of it.. I have witnessed some of these folks that I know, do completely asinine things, and think its ok because they have the permit.

sorry I wasnt more clear initially.

THOSE are the types of folks that I worry about carrying in public. In my opinion, they in no way make anywhere they are a safer place to be.

I wasn't assuming anything about a crime rate, but you seemed to be assuming that I did not know whether my freinds had the permit or not.

that seemed a bit insulting since I mean, ive known them for years, and you have not.

Finally ate at the TnT diner in springdale.

Met up with Charlie, Doc, Arkwizard, and JTwest!

good little crowd in there right after church

its a neat little place, food is dirt cheap, and on the better side of "ok" in my opinion, I will certainly stop in again when in the area if it is not crowded.

Good to see you guys, I ended up following arkwizard to war eagle mill, mainly because have only been there once years ago by car, and didnt stop.

pretty neat little place, the old mill relics are neat to me, id like to know how they were manufactured, forged? cast whatever.. that sort of thing is neat to me.

the water was very clear and looked cold.

made me want to do some floating/camping/fishing

I had just gotten home from lunch with Doc, Mouth, Mike and jtwest and was checking my email. I received an email from a guy I served with in VN.

He said he was scanning some of his Vietnam Pictures and sent me this picture of yours truly making a canal crossing with a couple of grenade launchers.

I sort of remember this and if it's the picture I think it is, I was covered in leaches when I reached the other side...still gives me the willies... BTW, the barrel's of those launchers made an excellent "pipe" when packed with cheap local herbs.
