Upcoming Arkansas Trip

Two of us from Minneesota are planning on trailering to NWA the 21st of March, if the weather permits. We're planning on camping at Redding Recreational area near Oark. Looking for some good rides in the area and the possibility of getting to meet some of you inmates while we are in the vicinity. Will stay in area for 5 to 6 days.

We will be downloading several of the routes from the Arkansas Slap forum, any of those come highly recommended. We are both riding smaller dual sports, CRF230 and DR350. Bear in mind I'm old and dimwitted and the other fellas a 39 year old youngster, but we are ready for fun.

Also, if you think there is a better location to set up out tent, we are open to suggestions.

I know absolutely nothing about Huskys other than as a kid that was what they called my jeans.

I will be watching sale listings closely and doing more research to help me with a make and model decision. I could purchase at anytime but I want to make sure I go through the process so I can feel good about my decision and not end up with buyers remorse. Or hell I could run to fayetville and be home in a couple of hours. LOL

Before you know it I will be looking for boots and gear.
Buying any Husky now would be quite a gamble. bmw has sold them to an owner of KTM and things are in a true state of flux. For many models parts are/have been difficult to find. Husky would be about 133rd on the list for me at this time. Until you get some experience doing this stuff I recommend going Japanese.

At Washington Regional visiting my kid Sister and her new baby. In walks 7 prego women with their whipped husbands dragging behind.

I have one in black ( the fulmer) and one in silver, if the wife wants to part with it, she has worn it a whopping 4 times in about 5 years..

Ill get size/pic info for you.

Yes, they are in a state of flux right now. What's new? The company has been sold and resold so many times it's tough to keep track. Husqvarna, let's not forget, is a Swedish name. The bikes haven't been made in Sweden since the 1980s.

What's the future for the brand? I dunno. Hope they continue to make bikes as they made/make some good ones.

As for parts availability, I have one word for you: Hall's. I have ordered everything from a base gasket for a 1992 WR360 to a front disc for my 610 (last week), and they had it all, in stock and at my front door in less than a week. Go to your local Suzuki/Honda/Kawi shop and ask for a part. The term "We can have it in a week" will become very familiar to you.
