Dave..looks good to me..don't see anything that would indicate a road closure or a go around..I would suggest that y'all have a heads up for slick water crossings on cement low water bridges..it may be too early for slick crossings, but be alert just in case!

Yeah, 'tis good. I think mine slows down when school lets out and all the gamers get on, but that could just be me being cranky and old.

Curious Gus,

What should upload and download speeds be to be considered fast?

Short answer:

IMO, anything less than 750 up is slow.

Depends on who is serving you. Cable is fast down, so is satellite once it gets going. Satellite up sucks.

Cable used to be notorious for slow up which is what really costs the provider. Same with satellite service.

If all you do is send text, slow is OK because it is small. Pictures and videos suck it up.

Notice guys say it takes hours to upload some of their videos?

Lots of folks use their work connections which they can't afford on their own. A lot of us don't have that luxury.

As fiber gets put in, it will get better & better but the money makers, uploading & static IP's will always be the expensive part.

Some folks live or work in a lucky situation, most don't...

If you don't up load big files, then it is not important to you. Why Matt can be so excited by his down load speed. I can receive faster than some of the sites I go to.

Heavy use sites are hard to go faster than traffic will allow or they are porn sites in Russia. LOL

I want a static IP so I can run my own server for my pictures. Then I would not have to upload at all.... But if I had a lot of people were trying to look at the same time & I did not have a fast up load, it would suck... But I don't have so many fans so I can live with a gig up real easy.

YMMV

Right now I am at 1.06 meg up & 11.2 meg down. Sucks.

Colleen is on also so that makes it worse.

Remember, some give it in: Meg, meg, kps & Kps..... All are different.

I used to have a BIG picture online & I would time how long it took to download. That told me what was really going on.
