Thanks for showing me around! That ride up north was a blast. I actually just got back home, and my buddy did end up getting the KLR he was looking at so hopefully we can add another to the group.

And my little spill, lol, I've GOT to change those tires out! Now to be fair, it was totally my fault for laying the bike over because I was having way too much fun on the dirt in the corners!

And to the rest of the group: you guys all seem like a good bunch. Hopefully I can go on one of those camping trips coming up. Thanks for inviting me to have breakfast with you all!

Well, it looks like its finally time to straighten a radiator and do some sanding

How long will it be afore you make it back home? We need to get together for a dinner ride before school starts back up.
I like to think of it as "loss prevention" for people who are terrible at driving and/or drunk

And yep, live in Van Buren kinda behind the big church at 40/540

Also, I'm trying a new app on my phone called Google Tracks. It logs your route, and then lets you view it animated / in motion through google earth. It's almost like watching yourself ride. It shows where you slow down, and all the terrain in pretty high detail. I'm not sure how to share that, but here's my route home from Neosho, MO to Van Buren, AR if anyone wants to check it out:

Progress on fixing my DRZ

After my get off errrrr, hard crash in Wisconsin I had some minor damage. My bars were bent, the forks were tweaked, my fork brace got relocated, and my rear brakes were dragging to the point of wearing out the disc and pads.

While I was repairing the brakes I took time to install a CRF 450 master cylinder on the DRZ. It is a direct bolt on and is a much better arrangement than the original. I got everything installed but no matter how many times I pumped the brake and cracked open the bleeder valve I couldn't get the system to bleed out the air. JD volunteered his speed bleeder for me to use (thanks JD) and that seems to have done the trick. I just need to bleed the system one more time after my new disc and pads arrive.

My bars weren't bent as badly as I had originally thought so some minor tweaking with a conduit bender fixed them nicely. Next I tweaked the front wheel alignment back to where it should be and then put the fork brace back into it's correct position.

All I am lacking now is some parts, an oil and filter change and the DRZ lives again. My left knee? Not so much.

Wife and I took a spin up to the Low Gap Cafe for brunch today. Lemme tell ya, that dood can flat cook. I think even JT would be impressed. No pics of the food because pics do not do it justice. We may go back Saturday night for their prime rib.

Mine is cooking dinner tonight. You just can't ask them to cook AND wash dishes. Pick one or the other.!

Man, I really like that place. Was in Jasper yesterday around lunch but decided to skip their brunch and just grab a muffaletta at the Arkansas House. That place has some damn good food as well. Unlike that crap hole the Ozark Cafe.

Were there many trikes on the road? On my way up to Fifty Six, Saturday, the trikes and husband/wife harley twins were brutally slow. Some people just need to buy a Miata.

We did about half dirt and half street, put in about 220 miles. I was surprised how few bikes we saw out considering what a really nice day.
