I only know you from your posts here, but I am sure that bike was a part of you. Hope whatever you replace it with brings you a great deal of joy.

I have sold some bikes that i had no attachment to and it was no biggie, but others left a hole that was hard to fill.

Do you have a replacement bike in mind?

Yep. Lunch at the Low Gap Cafe with some of these misfits. Saddle up and come join us.

I am taking some logs to my sawyer tomorrow... I have this woodworking habit, and need to get some lumber cut up and drying for those cold winter days in the garage. But I am hoping to get together some next month for some rides.

It does leave a hole that will be hard to fill..it is after all, just a machine. When I got the thing 11 years ago, I swore that I would never be without a street bike again, and here I am, without a street bike..and so it goes.

I use to have money, but hard times slammed us face down in the mud hole so the hog was the sacrifice...my dream set up is, for now anyway and is subject to change, is a 1150/1200 GS with a hitch so that I can trailer my lil XR behind it and make CO runs with you guys..and some of the east coast rallies too. But until things turn around, I shall just dream abt that for now.

Sorry to hear that. several years ago I went through a slump financially, and had to sell off my bikes. It takes a lot out of you. It wasn't fun but it was the right thing to do at the time. But they are just toys. These times seem to come and go.
I know lots of guys that own more bikes than they can ride, yet have very few friends. You seem to be blessed with quite a few of those, (friends) , so you must be doing something right.

Tnx Bill..am just chuggin along..day at a time. Have mixed emotions on selling the hawg..yeah we have a little cushion in the bank but as everyone know, any time you get a little bit of money, SOMETHING always comes up to take it from you, so we are sitting here waiting for something to happen

I have not really been riding the hawg much..I just put new tires and brakes on it..it ran perfect..I put on 49,750 miles on it, got it when it only had 5 miles on the clock so all them miles is me. As I said, it is just a machine and it amazes me as to how we become so attached to such a machine..silly isnt it? It was fun while it lasted, but now it is time to move on, which I am going to do, and hopefully work on trying to fulfill my dream of towing my dirtbike behind a street bike..that is my quest now. Looking back on fond memories, but looking forward to new adventures!
