Albies Going Away Party

Well I guess it's official now. We've had Albies going away party. He will be missed for sure. It was a stellar afternoon for his BBQ. The temps were spot on, and we had an excellent turn out. Everyone pitched in and brought side dishes and Tim and I BBQ'd the meat.

Some pictures from the party:

Doc showed up briefly even though he had a house full of guests to entertain. He told me that he had to send Albie off in style and brought this for Albie to remember us by.

He even showed Albie how to remember Arkansas

Albie set about learning the correct techniques

Mdawg showed his appreciation to Albie for making him drink orange Koolaid

It's a rare thing to have this much camaraderie in a group. It was great to have all of you come see Albie before his move. I appreciate everyone pitching in to help out, especially with clean up. Thanks y'all.

Albie, friends like you are far and few between. Thanks for your friendship and all of your help on our big trips. You rock my friend!

BTW, get better soon OJ.

I think Tim was directly impacted by that statement.

No worries, just glad you "took a short ride". Good to see you.

Thumb MMMmmmm

Good food and good folks.

All four food groups too: meat, meat, meat, and mac & cheese.

Charlie and Tim sure do know how to handle meat, even if it is indirectly.

Happy trails Albie, you will be missed.

Got to meet some of the ADV'rs that here to fore were only names on the screen too.

Of course this was a send off for Albie and I was glad to get to see him off. Ride safe buddy and enjoy all the new trails!!

Just so we have evidence of this I snapped a few pic's. Look Albie has six horns, it's so nice to have all these friends close by huh??

To those I missed getting pictures of my apologies! Maybe Charlie got some more pic's?

And I did confess to my wife that my "short ride" turned into a BBQ .....supper might be cold tonight

Fun time, good seeing everyone again. All the best Albie
Love/Hate these get togethers. Great people but it's about losing a great member of the group. First JT and now Albie. Hope life treats you well in your new locations. We need to schedule a follow up to visit each of you.

That was some premo BBQ Tim! Best I've had in a long time!

Was great fun working the Chuck today, even with all the meat handling comments!
Albie, you may be moving, but when we need that tire help or a trail rescue, it's not that far a ride for a guy that does 700+ mike days for fun!
Give us reports on how many times those SC ADV'rs fall for the "lost wallet" trick.
I hope Todd doesn't cry himself to sleep too many times.

If you roll into town, we've got room (BR and garage space) whenever you need it.

Albie

I think we should plan a trip to NC next spring and do a dual sport ride. Albie can do the scouting and have some routes planned. I could go for a week long get away and riding though some of the Appalachians! Who's up for that?

This tread caught my attention.

I'm sure Albie is game for anything, but you do realize he moved to South Carolina, right?

North West South Carolina.....

This is in his riding range I'm thinking.

But open for any area he locks in on to the south and east of there.
