Now it's moving!
With the great weather forecast for the next few days, I anticipate a lot of action this weekend. I think we should make a decision about the role of the cache in all of this. Despite my concerns expressed yesterday, I'm ok with the possession of the cache determining who officially got the grab and thus sets the next tag. According to HburgNinja, this approach appears to work for the Valley ToR.
I think if we go this route, if you show up to make a grab but the cache is missing, take your photos anyway in case the cache was picked up by a citizen or you just didn't find it. That way, if no one ends up with it later, you can post your grab photos and the game will continue. Perhaps I'm over-analyzing this. (If you ask my wife, she'll tell you this isn't the first time. )What do you guys think? |

The cache thing is super easy but just requires some basic ground rules at first. As Skippii pointed out recently, we(Valley ToR) probably have the most rules of any ToR but it never gets in the way of our fun (hell I never really think about them its so second nature now)
Have a great weekend ya'll

BBooker explained it perfectly. If you show up and there isn't a cache, take a pic any way. You never know if someone not playing the game picked it up.
I'm heading to the valley this weekend for a little riding and camping. Details are here is anyone is interested: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=451110 |

Of course we care about your opinion! You're a major participant in this game! And I agree, Jeff, post the next one so we have a destination for getting out today. In fact, cough, cough, I'm starting to feel a little ill. I may have to leave the office early today.

Next Tag
Unfortunately, I ran out of time to make it to the next Tag. I know where it's gonna be though. I will have the picture up by 9:00 Sat morning. In the mean time, you can ponder these clues:
1) Fairfax County 2) It's next to the River that separates the Old Dominion from the Free State. 3) It's next to a Bend in the river where there's a park. 4) While you're in the area, be sure to sample these roads: Beach Mill, Seneca, Georgetown Pike. You won't be disappointed. |
