Yea, state maintained gravel roads should be in play. No private roads. Everyone agree?

Pretty sure that is because everyones versions of a "dirt road" is different.

A dirt (coal trail) road took me here a couple of weeks ago:
State gravel roads in NOVA are fair game. Motocox screwed with this post 04-10-2009 at 09:01 PM |

Dirt road is open to interpretation, as long as it is legal and maintained somewhat, the road is in-play. Just use your best judgment.

Gravel Roads
As a relatively new rider and one with only about 20 minutes experience on gravel, I humbly request that if your tag requires riding on a gravel road, you say so in your post.

Private roads are on different colored signs than public or VDOT maintained roads. Around the valley, most public roads are on a green sign with white reflective lettering while private roads are on a white/silver sign with green lettering. Not sure your local schemes but this helps keep the game out of private streets and away from angry dogs/owners (not such a problem for you northerners)

This game works much better when people go after the tags. There are plenty of riders in NOVA and this is an easy tag...
Your wife will understand and you will appreciate the time on your bike.

Yeah, I looked this one up and its a little far for me on the KLR for a quick trip. I thought someone would pick it up or I would have grabbed it Saturday.
