That means I have a chance at an early morning grab!!! I bet Ali would very much like visiting me at work.

Well I went back this morning to check in on Ali and to comply with the rules.

Tag shot as required. What a difference a day makes, the sight was quite beautiful.

Ali said all is fine but could use more coffee.

And to put to bed any question of the color of my riding gear. I feel this is necessary.

Grabbed at 7:05am.

I got up this morning, hit the snooze button and then thought, I may not be early enough to get Ali, but I would give it a good shot. So I did.

I found Ali at about 7:05am. The wonderful wife followed me in the cage (she works in that area) so she could get some pictures.

Below is the grab location (got the idea from BikePig):

The culdesac of Nash Drive and Arlington Ridge Road. Just a hop, skip, and jump from the Pentagon City mall.

I got some pictures of Ali secured in the zip tie restraining device, and some of the bike and location.

However, I thought I would share my little Ali tale this morning. We did our thing, pictures, hugging, bitting, etc. And then I put Ali on the passenger portion of my bike seat. This will be a good place to keep her, I thought, then I drove off on bike to get to work. I was just getting on to 395 to cross the 14th Street Bridge when I realized.. Ali is still on my passenger seat! nutting futs, I said outloud as I reached back to see if Ali was still there. A reassuring chomp by Ali on my fingers and some screaming from Ali, "Are you outta your mind? I'm about to fly off back here, I'm doing all that I can to hold on!!"

I thought to myself, thank goodness. I was truly worried that Ali was some sorta road kill at that moment. Even though Ali was boiling mad, I was very thankful that Ali was still with us, and not squished into submission by countless cage tires.

I firmly held Ali, until I could put Ali into my jacket. Where I was bitten many times. I was called a few names (many of which I don't feel appropriate to post). I then took Ali to work, provided coffee and things were much better.

My thought at that light was: "Now there's a gentleman who has great taste in bikes and riding apparel, but he CAN'T POSSIBLY be thfraser because I know thfraser rides a Red Sprint!"

I need to pay closer attention to sigs apparently...

Also, the ppl in this thread get up WAAY too early in the morning. Just sayin.

Yep, I drive both bikes... heehee. When I was driving away, my wife was in the red car next to me, I bet that guy on that nice V-strom bike is going to get Ali.....

Crowded out there this morning.

Three different people out there before 8AM in the middle of all that traffic.

Good on ya. I have no desire to go that direction in the morning anymore. BRAC sent me the other way. Bring Ali back this way, Fraser.

To early? Nonsense! There is nobody on the road!

Thanks, for the tip of the hat.

I have a few ideas that might keep Ali from being so lonely, if anyone is interested?

How close do you want it? I have a few ideas I've been playing with. I really need to get Ali away from me.

I have Ali sitting on my computer. After awhile, having an alligator perched on you computer with some nice teeth gets a little unnerving. Especially when Ali keeps saying in a low guttural tone, "Hey lunch, hey lunch, why don't you pet me?"

Keeps moving around my office too, sorta like the USPS commercial with the clown doll.

I didn't know my name had been changed to lunch.

Regards,

Lunch Fraser

Tag

Boy I thought getting Ali to a Tag spot would be easy. Ali, was wondering around my work, so when I left Ali was nowhere to be found. So Ali wondered around work while I went home and attended to two other functions. It wasn't until about 8pm at night that I was able to go find Ali.

Turns out Ali was really tired. Ali had been wondering around my office all evening looking for people to talk to (eat?) but there wasn't anyone there. So when i found Ali, Ali was very grateful.

"Glad to see you!"

"Good to see you again too", I replied.

"I'm tired".

"Ali, I'm tired too. I have to get up at 5am so I can ride with a bunch of guys to Blacksburg. But I have an idea, if we go far enough south, I bet I can find a great place to rest. It even has "Rest" in it's name."

Ali said, "that sounds good". Didn't Leon want me to come closer to his neck of the woods?"

"Yes, he did"

So with that Ali, me and my friend headed south towards Richmond. We got close to MM155 and decided to take a break.

An that break spot is where Ali is at. But not until Ali got a chance at some exercise....

Ali is on the guardrail in the background of this picture, right where the little white looking pole thing is. In the picture above, it's right above Ali's nose. The picture below is closeup shot.

Ali is right here! Just inside the guardrail, out of sight, but not out of mind.

And finally the obligatory Bike photo!

Then I left. I told Ali to not hitchhike, not a good thing to do, especially if someone wants some new gator skinned boots.

Happy Tagging...
