The clues were fine. I'm not too smart and I figured it out.

The 2d clue, I 'think' I know that one too. During the work week, grabs can take a little longer.

I did a grab out that way the other month, but the road out there is packed at rush hour, going that direction. Otherwise it's a nice evening for a ride.

While there is a gate involved its blocked by K rails from the other side.

The new perimeter is far enough back that hanging out and grabbing a few pics won't raise any flags.

I was there a good 30 minutes trying to get good shots of aircraft taking off and it was just me and the gnats.

If you hang out by the gate south of 1R under the flight path you will see a security truck, but thats just a regular patrol. (Though if you don't have a two or three kids sitting on top of the car watching aircraft landing they may decide to ask you whats up.)

yeah I hear what you're saying as far as this tag is concerned, its more a matter that many security services these days are getting pretty full of themselves, esp. when they see folks taking pics, just not sure its worth the risk of getting hassled by The Man. Like it or not they can question you and hassle you and there are some that seems to get a real kick out of flexing their muscles.

Like I said, just something to consider...

Jeff

Grab

I wasn't expecting rt 50 west to be so jammed up, ugh!

The last clue, about 25 yards from the tag.

I came up from Pleasant Valley Rd. which was pretty nice.

I wonder if you could have taken Perimeter Rd?

I actually wanted to check out Runway Rd too but didn't have a good mental picture of the area when I got out there.

So I'm guessing it was Dulles airport?

Yes, Dulles.

I thought Pleasant Valley turned into a dirt road, so I opted out and took main roads.

Not a Bruce per se, but I was at Dulles Airport today too - picking up
visiting relatives.

I noticed the address on the Sheriff dept's range is Willard Road.
There was a town called Willard that was basically completely torn down to make way for the airport.

Good tag action. A little bit of 2 person tag teaming (MICA & MND) - I'm going to be trying to put a stop to that asap.

You won't have to try too hard.

Its a lot of work to keep my 30 year old wreck running.

The leak in my left side fork is slowing down so I suspect that means all the oil is gone. Good thing all the parts arrived!

Bruce'd again

I was pretty happy about it this time though; I am traveling tomorrow and I would have had to work to get the new tag up tonight. I probably didn't miss it by much, I was there around 7:30 I think.

Heck Elk, I have been laying low for a couple weeks, just seems like the game is slowing down. It's good to see some new taggers.

spric, I was there about 6:15.

I'll try and have the new tag up by noon. hint: same theme

yep, the more taggers, the better the action.

The thread has over 17,000 hits so there are lots of
potential taggers sitting on the fence ---

So, another high security location?
I'm just guessing here, but perhaps Mica plans to drop off the gator near the G. H. W. Bush Center for Intel.?
Rocket, how would you rate that site for getting picked up by TM?

By the by, I couldn't locate the road (Vortac?) that was used as a clue. I had the general location (Dulles, near rw30), but that still left a few local roads and quite a bit of fence for me to potentially search; so, I left it to those in the know.

Follow Willard north until you can go no further (500 yards after it turns to dirt, roughly.)

ETA: You were probably looking at the other end of the runway.
