Tag! Since I Bruced SB12. I barely made this SB12 friendly. Barely!

These are initial photos. More will be uploaded when I get to my home base.

The giveaway photo!

Ali is under the corner of this little walkway bridge. Under the right corner in the picture.

Here is Ali before crawling under the bridge.

Spring Break? No not really. Just don't like typing on that crazy little keyboard on my smart phone. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and return back to the tin cans and string like NoVa Rider.

Adventures in finding Ali, and a confession that sometimes I don't follow directions very well.

I got up this morning, when the sun started to change the dark skies to grey overcast skies, I took my clue and geared up and got on my bike. I quickly checked this thread to make sure I wouldn't get bruced. All was good. I went to PatriotPioneers.org clicked on directions and headed out.

Soon, I was at Battlefield High School, home of the Bobcats. Hmmm, this doesn't seem right said the thoughts inside my head. I broke out my phone, and repeated the process. I found another set of directions, and then another... WTF I thought?

So I took the addresses of the next two addresses, put them in my GPS and took off. Two more dead ends? I really don't want to go through all of the directions in the list. I better regroup. So... I called my wife and said, "Want to meet for breakfast at Tom's Diner?" She said sure, and so off I went.

Breakfast was good and I did some more research. It just didn't seem right, until I finally noticed that these were all directions from Patriot High School. Then I finally figured out that this was off off Vint Hill Rd, so I ate some breakfast, jumped on the bike and took off to Patriot High School. Since we had errants, my wife followed me to the High School.

Once at the school, I looked at the bases of the bushes. I thought I was bruced and was getting ready to check my phone to ensure I was doing this right. My bride was laughing at me. It's in the middle of the bush, and she went right over and pulled Ali out. Doh!

She noticed that Ali's bow was untied, and decided to fix it.

After that, as evidenced in the "Grab" photo's and discussion. I just barely beat SteelB12. We had a nice discussion on bikes, work and tagging. I did offer him Ali, he politely declined. So off to home depot I went.

Ali likes to be involved and clearly stated that he/she/it is a pillar of society. So of course, I had to show Ali where the posts where.

We found some sharkbites that I needed for my job. Of course, Ali stated that sharkbites are wimpy and that he/she/it can bite harder and more effectively than any shark. Ok Ali....

We did our errands and I had a few places in mind. But since I sorta felt bad for SB12, I saw an impromptu tag location that I have been wanting to tag for quite awhile. it was definitely SB12 friendly by maybe a few yards, so I decided to tag Ali at the spot in my previous post. I was reviewing it, I don't know if we need to add any clues. A couple of inmates already figured it out. So... I won't provide any more clues for awhile.

Yes, by you! I looked at my phone for tags before I placed it and didn't see one. Now that I'm home and doing additional research, I can see that it was tagged.. Oh well! It is all in good fun!

Aye, Matey, a Right and Proper Brucing

Well, after my last exchange I had this puppy in the bag . . . plus the /5 needed some exercise. After all, we know that no work and no play makes Jack's ethanol gasoline turn to turds in our carburetors . . . . or something like that.

So's I go out, pull the cover off Great White, try to blow off the dust where the leaf-blowing landscapers had tried to bury every car and bike in the parking lot with compost . . .

Roll out to the Occoquan/Bull Run crossing on 28 just north of Yorkshire , and what do I see as I pull in . . . a neon yellow jacket and . . . rebel346!

Bruced by about 5 minutes. Gator on the loose!!!

Portrait of a Bruce-er!

As to where reb is taking our gator, well, you'll just have to wait a bit. I'm thinkin' there more plastic alligator adventures awaiting our little bow-tied friend . . . .

Sorry about the Brucing ORexpat!

GRAB/BRUCE and TAG!

Found Ali off of 28 South where it crosses Bull run! I had just grabbed Ali and went back to the bike when I heard a bike and saw ORexpat coming down the road. Nice meeting and talking to you ORexpat, sorry for the Brucing.

After chatting with ORexpat for a few minutes Ali and I decided that maybe SB12 did not like how close this location was to the RLD and figured we would go in a different direction and ended up here.

I figured the pics have enough clues. In the last pic with the sign and fence, Ali is hiding in the clover at the first intersection of fence right next to some big flat rock at the base.

Due to work hours, probably not going to be very active during the week, but hopefully I can play on the weekends!! Sure is fun so far, just trying to learn the area a little better.

No sweat about the brucing. That's the game! Besides, nice afternoon for a ride.

If you are commuting to work by bike, stash a camera -- can often get a grab or two on a commute. . ..
