FWIW, I'm not a huge fan of flower bed tags, because without a marker or reference in the flower bed, the flowers all look the same and I'm never quite sure where to look. I did bring the tag photo, and looked in the purple flowers SB12 indicated, but didn't find Ali. I didn't want to tear up the flower bed, so snapped the pic and departed.

SB12, if no one claims by noon, perhaps a confirmation is in order (and a marker if Ali's still there).

Crap! I doubt I can get over there by noon. Hopefully just tin can brigade again

neat tag, btw. I went to the far sign, but it didn't look right (no trailers in the background). then found the correct one!

blue tahoe is still there.. could not confirm the where-abouts of Ali.... wasn't in the purple flowers...

also never realized how busy that shopping center gets during the day..

if he doesn't show up as a "grab" i will check again.. hopefully at a less busy time of day..

I dont see ALI either, but I dont want to go dinging around with so many nosey cagers around. Flowers looks to have been disturbed. Would like to have a car or couple of bikes to hide me digging in the flowers.

Just wear a blue jump suit, bring a shovel, and they'll think you are part of the gardening crew!

Not that I could have grabbed anyway, ended up flat bedding it to the shop when it came to my attention that one of the front caliper bolts had made a successful leap for life. . .. Fun time getting a fully loaded GS with bags on a flatbed -- the conversation went sort of like this: me: how do you want me to do this. driver: I'll tilt the bed and you ride up about half way, then grab the brakes. then I'll lower it level. me: you mean, up that wall you've tilted in my direction? driver: yep. me: oh. . ..

It worked.

Did he forget he has a winch at the front of his flatbed?

I had to get my X-Challenge towed shortly after bought it when the battery failed. A flatbed shows up and the guy tells me how he has transported dozens of bikes. He loads it up and I notice he really doesn't compress the front suspension much nor does he tape the hooks closed. (I assume he likely had transported dozens of cruisers but no dual sports) I considered saying something, but figured he's the expert and I won't tell him how to do his job. Needless to say the front straps came loose during the transport and the bike fell over damaging the shift lever. Yep, he was the expert . . .

Looks like it is SB12's call: Check again for Ali, or put another gator in play?

Following a "virtual grab" at more-or-less, near Regal Cinema, 11380 Bulloch Dr , Parkridge Center, Manassas, VA 20109, Ali said, "That place [near Regal Cinema] was OK, but, just not ME!"

I asked, "What do you mean, Ali?"

He then began to sing,

"Round round get around
I get around
Yeah
Get around round round
I get around . . ."

Didn't know he was old enough for familiarity with that ancient Beach Boys song, but . . . alligators live a LONG time, I understand.

As we rode along, he launched into another Beach Boys hot-rod ballad, "Little Deuce Coupe." He segued into, "Shut Down," as we passed a Hayabusa, ridden by a rather tentative motorcyclist. As we stopped alongside a lavishly-chromed full-dress Harley at a stoplight, Ali lit into, "No-Go Showboat," at the top of his lungs, despite my jabbing his ribs to get him to cool it, in our present company. Fortunately, the Harley rider couldn't hear him, over the noise of his rude exhaust, and took no insult.

I then said, "Well, I know where you want to go, Ali!"

Road clue: Nothing COMMON about the mills for which this road is named, or . . . did a professional basketball team from Kansas City own the mills?

Somewhat beyond the RLD, hope Ali hasn't wandered off before someone gets there to grab! But, if he has . . . looks like good riding weather anyway!

Ali's outside the fence, covered in grasses at the point shown, accessible 24-7.

If approaching in daylight, be discreet with your camera angles; some high-security training was in progress at the facility when Ali was tagged; we were monitored to assure no identities of trainees could be discerned from our images.
