I'm from western NoVa -- a "Westie" as some around here say.

So, I don't know a lot of these inside the Beltway sites by sight. This will be a challenge for me, but that's part of the fun.

You'll find a tempo. Some clues are harder than others. Google and Bing are your friends for the word and image searches, each has benefits, and the satellite, street and birdseye shots often show different views, or more up-to-date pics. FWIW, I believe that ORex was a fan of the most the difficult clues . . ..

You're only "in for the night" because your scooter sh*ts itself when it';s damp-ish out.

If I remember correctly, the rider/operator of the conveyance cannot be plugged in.

On the other note, my heated grips have been the bomb (using teenager parlance) over the past few days. Haven't even found a need to plug in, just gotta keep the hands warm.

I've had a recurring battle with my permanent mounted temp controllers -- they really don't seem to like the wet weather. . ..

What brand are they? I've always used the belt clip ones, or I velcroed the controller to the frame of my bike near the triple tree.

I usually work from home on Wednesdays.. and I really lucked out this week weather wise. I was about to hop on a pedal bike to grab lunch but right before I left I checked in here. Seeing that the tag was only a few blocks I went downstairs and kicked over the ol XR.

The clue didn't make sense to me - but I recognized the garage door - with a regular door - in the background. It's unique and I fill up all the time at that Liberty Station. Free air, reasonable gas prices, often times someone will wash your windows.. good people.

Grab

Anyways the grab was 24 Hour Watch and Clock Works - 5150 Wilson Blvd Arlington, VA 22205

Tag

I had to swing by my mom's house and I thought I would bring Ali over to my childhood neighborhood. The neighborhood is named after the 115 acre lake inside it that was created by the Alexandria Water Company in 1913.

There are 5 man made beaches on the lake and Ali is standing guard at one of the entrances. It's an even numbered one. The beaches and lake are private for the residents - but Ali is right off the side of the road and easy to get to.

Ali is located snugly next to a wood post that is right behind the guardrail - circled in orange:

Outstanding grab, error cooled!

Should impress time-sensitive non-participants!

Ever hear of a service station open 24.9 hours a day?
