It's a lot of fun at 100 yards. Need to try and get it out farther.

I am thinking of getting a Phoenix Arms HP22 when they go back on sale for about $125 they look like fun... I know I know a cheap cheap gun but with the longer "Target" barrel and pinky extension it looks like a fun plinker and probably a lot more accurate than my Jennings J22

standard form

"Target" set up

can anyone fill me in about the lawsuit issue and are those more desirable?

What I read was that H&K sued GSG because of how close the GSG looked like the H&K MP5. These older GSG's are probably more desirable because a) they're not made any longer and b) they look just like the H&K's.

Ruger just announced a new 10/22 variant: 10/22 TAKEDOWN! Might be old news for some, but new for me.

Makes me take my eye off the Henry AR6...

Thanks, I thought is would be some crazy new safety on the new ones, rendering them difficult to use..

One of the things that was changed after H&K sued GSG is the rear sight. One of the popular mods it to buy a MP5 rear sight and replace the new GSG one.

MP5

GSG-5

GSG-522

Oh hell yeah! I've been thinking about a Marlin Papoose for awhile but with a small stack of 10/22 mags on hand this makes more sense.

There is no need to be told when you respect it.

Whats the difference between the take down 10/22 and the butler creek stock that has been available for awhile? Other than the one being original from Ruger?

Poked around a bit. With the Butler Creek folding stock overall length is 27 1/4" (stock folded, carbine model). The Ruger 10/22 Takedown's disassembled length is 20".

Edit. Just realized you're probably talking about the Butler Creek Packer Takedown stock.

Aside from being discontinued, seems to have gotten mixed reviews. I'm unsure if you need to buy a special barrel to use with the system, anyone chime in?
