There is, I've been a member on there since '04 when I was shopping for a .17 HMR.

Lots of good stuff.

That website I posted earlier has a tacsol barrel for 150 something, which would be a neat light weight rig.

Really

At the Cabela's here they are WAY higher on prices than all the other Gun Shops. They wanted Full Retail ($550) on the S&W M&P 15-22 when right down the road you could get it for $429

The Federal Bulk ammo was $25 while at Wally World it's only $17 or 18

In Washington it's as cheap at Cabelas as anywhere else with both guns and ammo.

Yup, I was suprised. Went to the gun counter just to check pricing, as I'd been looking around. I got the Bi-tone (stainless top slide) for $345 ($385 everywhere else, the all blue model is running about $325)....Made the choice pretty easy, and I was surprised.

Then, they gave me an additional $40 off for signing up for the Cabela's credit card (I'll cut it up later). so ultimately I got an upgraded version for less than the blued

Aside from the Ruger Mark series pistols has anyone got a nice auto or revolver they really like. I've got a Beretta Bobcat that I like but have not fired enough to get to know it well. I like the Ruger single six. Nice trigger therefore nice groups.

P.S. Signal nice avatar

I currently have a pair of Walthers that I love. 4" P22 and a 6" SP22. Both are a tremendous amount of fun to shoot, and surprisingly good shooters too.

From Misc

Shown in the fancy schmancy dealer set you can get from Walther for cheap. I have only had the SP22 for about a month now, but the more I shoot it the better it gets...trigger leaves a little to be desired, but it is adjustable to some degree and I think I have a decent handle on it. P22 is solid as a rock, no gripes about it at all.

Different rimfire quest

I'm looking for an original or a replica "gallery gun".
22 rimfire, pump action, tube mag in the stock.

When I was a kid and well into my 20's the local amusement parks and fairs all had a booth or two set up with these. I had great fun plinking away at the targets. I long since moved on to other shooting sports and forgot about the amount of fun those things represented.

Love to have one sitting around to just toss in the trunk and head out to the woods and plink at stuff.

Anybody know if those are still made or available at reasonable prices?

Rossi made a copy of a Winchester IIRC. It's a take down pump that shoots .22Short, Long, and LR. Check Gun Broker or Auction Arms.

I love my Rossi, it's great with subsonic quiet ammo.

Quick 3 round squeezes were great (I was actually as accurate with 3 round bursts-- after a short while-- compared to single point and squeeze)

Nose heavy, but easily adapted to...Helped with rapid/quick follow-up rounds

Looong trigger pull (lots of slack before the friction/break point) in single action mode. The trigger was predictable after slacking it up....

Not quite as accutate as my wife's ruger mark III, noting the 2" barrel variance...I was able to squeeze off 3" groups at 21 feet or so by the end of the hour. There is a shorter front sight included with the kit, I didn't switch as I'm typically low and left anyway .

I did have 4 jams-- non-ejected casings that got in the way, all with Remmington High Velocity hornet stuff. This went away with CCI High Velocity ammo.... (there are 2 springs included with the pistol, one for "softer" loads, I didn't switch today)

Cleaning/take down was easy

Yup, Bones

I love the single six stuff: great fun, easy triggers, bomb proof

Just got the recent .22 semi auto 'cause I really wanted to simulate a full size feel and increase range time in a much cheaper version (even 9mm is pricey after a few boxes )

Henry makes one, but tube mag is under the barrel.

I saw a really sweet little Anschutz .22 at a shop the other day. I think it was a 1712 or 1714, I didn't pay enough attention. It was a light sporter. Want.
