I went geocaching today, I found two of them! One at the ES train station, and one on the overlook above the Beaver Lake damn overlook. Had to really work at it though because the Nuvi isn't well suited fo the task.

I finally figured out that if I got to the satellite screen I could see real time coordinates as I moved. After I figured that out I was able to locate the caches by writing down the coordinates and comparing them with the on screen coordinates. It was still tough because the Nuvi is only accurate to 24 feet and that gives me a 48 foot margin of error.

So, the clues given were invaluable.

Thanks for the offer Ripper, but I have a family reunion on Sun. I am thinking going down and riding Fri & Sat and just leaving Sun morning for the reunion. I will have to go by myself if I do that.

Still up in the air Ripper. I have three other buddies that are talking about going but don't know for sure yet. I'll let you know, thanks.

I suggest you make back copies of them on your hard drive. If thats possible, I know with MapCreate and Lowrance it registers the SD card and it only allows a total of 5 SD cards registered. Yea theres ways around that but it hasn't been an issue for me yet.
