BMW Nav IV

I'm using the BMW Navigator IV with the BMW blue tooth headset. (Bought all BMW to make sure everything worked together- you'll see how that turned out!). The MP3 player on the Nav IV locks up after about 20-30min of use. It only does this on the bike using blue tooth (13 Waterboxer with factory GPS mount). When in the regular mount in a vehicle with the GPS plugged into an audio system, it works just fine. Has anyone else out there had a similar issue?

Yes, I have the same issue. I haven't been able to figure out what is causing it but I will say that it is very annoying.

I'm listening to the music via BT and a Cardo Scala rider G4.

This has been a known issue with the Nav-IV, I had the same problem paired to an Interphone F5XT in which the music would start cutting out after a while, I had to reboot the Nav-IV each time to get it to work right again, but it would eventually start skipping again within 30 minutes.
I think the problem lies in the Nav-IV Bluetooth device, and I haven't found a way to correct it.
I sold the IV and bought a new Nav-V and have not had any issues since.

There is a new update to the NAV Iv firmware that seems to solve Bluetooth issues.
Edit: may want to wait on doing this. Mine worked fine but folks are reporting issues with the unit not responding after the update.
