Myself, Amy, Erik, I'm not sure about Matt. We asked him about it this past Wed, but I don't remember what he said.

Hi All-

For all the singletrack riders out there, and everyone who wants the option in the future, there's an important meeting next week. Details below.

It would be really great to get a strong motorized contingent to this meeting. The Forest and CSU have come up with a proposal that goes out of its way to be fair to motorized users- let's thank them for it!

Posting this here given Colorado Springs local content... back to regularly scheduled programming...

Anyone want to do some local dirt (snow?) riding this weekend? Maybe go check out the closed section of Gold Camp or El Magre Rd, and see how far we can get?

I'm still limited by range with this 2-gallon tank, however. I was thinking of heading down to Pueblo tomorrow to ride there.

Not really down with loading up-driving-unloading, then loading-driving-unloading again.

How bad is the gas mileage in that thing anyhow? I doubt you'd burn up two gallons on a short local ride, but maybe you can carry an extra gallon in a reserve tank or something? or a hose to siphon off some gas from my 3.5G tank if needed? Oh, I've got it! Camel back full of gasoline!

It's bad. I'll get 50 miles then it'll be dry. I ordered a 20L tank but it's not in yet.

If you (and/or anyone else) want to a road loop, I'm definitely game for that. Plenty of range on that bike!

4-Mile

Hey Ian, thanks to your hitch hauler-which by the way is the cats meow-I got the dirt bike back from the ranch in New Mexico and she is all gussied up and serviced and just raring for adventure. So in that mentality I was thinking of heading up to 4-mile tomorrow afternoon, spend the first night of the year camping, then getting up Sunday and raising HELLl! on the Enduro for several hours,(which btw gets about the same distance as yours) then coming home and crying in joy knowing I can more than likely do the same the next weekend and the one after also. YEAH!! moto-RIDIN-season is upon US. What do you think?

I'm glad you like it!

Fourmile sounds great, but I just got back from being out of town all week, so I have too much stuff to do to go camping this weekend. I am definitely looking forward to camp-n-ride season, though!

Matt, if you want those wheel bearings for your KTM, let me know and I'll bring them tomorrow.

I'll suggest Colorado Mountain Brewery.
