For all the criticism of Chelsea's tactics, both games were nail-biters that could have been (and one ultimately was) decided by a single play. Can't ask for more than that.

Lots of conspiracy cries out there by both Chelsea players and fans.
"Uefa's out to get English teams" and so on and so forth... Ya, because when i want to make sure that a team wins, the best way is to leave them playing with 10 in the second leg, deny them a penalty in the first leg and let them get mowed down in that same first leg without really penalizing any Chelsea players. Freakin crybabies.

Barca did a nice job and took full advantage of the circumstances. I would note, however, that when Abidal was sent off it evened the contest to 11 men a side.

For 37 minutes Arsenal played with a spark and incisiveness that was completely missing from their game against Manchester United in the Champions League.
If only they'd been able to finish with the same skill that they created chances. Then they started to push it around, Anelka collected the ball, struck a fantastic shot. 2-0 and match over. A brilliant game by Petr Cech, in the air and on the ground. A complete performance. And for a Chelsea team gutted by Wednesday's loss and with virtually nothing to play for, a tremendous test of character. They passed. Hard to believe this is their first-ever win at Emirates Stadium. Very entertaining match. I'll be sorry to see Hiddink leave.

Your boy Ronaldo goes off in a snit fit, like the child he is. Put him on a team that's not dominant and I wonder how much use he would be? Fantastically talented. But no leader of men, not even close.

Two questions.
1/ Which name should go on my second Chelsea shirt: Essien or Lampard? 2/ Where will Mark Hughes be working next season?

It's just his latin temperament. He's an artist, not a miner. I bet he's a right laugh at the team BBQ, cooking, wearing bright shirts, doing impersonations with sausages, juggling pinapples and winking at the ladies.

But I hope it's to Chelsea, to replace an aging and slow Ballack. ![]() He might not complement Lampard too well, since they both go forward, but my goodness he's a threatening player.
