So Spurs dominate Villa but only come away with a point.

Then they play field seems to be a full side against Manchester United's youth team in the Carling Cup and lose 2-0.

What's going on?

Can't find the Chelsea game live anywhere, not even online, so I'm having to follow it on the BBC's live line.

Down 1-0 at the half. On come Drogba, Kakuta and Bruma. By bringing on Drogba instead of resting him, Ancelotti shows he wants to win this thing. Bing! Three minutes later Drogba scores. What a player.

He is a fantastic player Sid and I think someone has finally told him to grow the fuck up and stop diving when someone looks at him funny. There's simply no need for someone with his skill to do that.

He still seems to fall over a lot, if you ask me. Maybe he's cut down on the number of rolls.

I did notice last weekend that he plays to the ref. When he saw that the Arsenal ref wasn't calling stuff very easily, Drogba got up a lot more quickly as the game went on.

Going to penalties.

Chelsea tie the game 1:45 in added time, in extra time.

Did Michael Owen just guarantee himself a spot on Capella's squad with his hat trick?

Looking like a shrewed buy (this week).

I hope so. I have always like Owen - he oozes class both on and off the pitch. I really think Capella has not picked him due to his numerous injuries - I get the sense he doesn't want to include him for fear of him being injured at crucial times. That said, they do have some history in Spain....

Some excellent football so far, and they have yet to air the Chelsea game.

Michael Owen back to his classic form. His last goal was a striker's goal, beautiful touch to loft it over the diving keeper. All those lost years in Newcastle. England could use more up front, so I would imagine he's in with a chance to make the squad.

Ronaldo hit a superb free kick for a goal. Outstanding. Plus another good goal. I wonder why Benzema didn't start?

I've watched Gael Kakuta twice now and gentlemen, he's the real deal.

Not a big man, but excellent vision, energy, presence of mind, skill and blazing speed. Can play in tight spaces. Made a beautiful visonary pass to free Zhirkov, whose pass found Drogba free in the box. And I think he has a powerful shot waiting for the right opportunity to be unleashed.

I think he has a bright future.

I so wanted Owen to come back to Liverpool. How ironic he is playing so well and Torres is always injured it seems

G'day Ben...Mr Robert

So, both teams having injury woes...if one were to believe the rumours, how funny would it be to see Sol & Ruud kicking the shit out of each other again
