Thread tittle: Stupid questions people ask you when stopped

Play or go to the basement and get spanked while fetching beers and bacon sammiches for everyone.

There is likely a Hardley bashing thread or two down there to play in as well. You are going to love Fridays.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it was me? I usually glance and nod then see if there is a response.

Hardly guy "I'll give you five bucks for that suit."

Me - eye contact

Hardly to boy friend - "hey doc, you got a five I can borrow?"

Me - "why don't you sell your bike?"

He'll, if you can't laugh at yourself it's gonna be a long ride.

Well many of the rest of us do, so excuse me if I can't be bothered to interact with someone who can't be bothered to interact with the rest of us like human beings. Treat others as you would be treated, and all that.

So, I pulled into a gas station last night on the Harley and I went to an open pump. Just when I got to the pump, I noticed a sport bike was making his way to the same pump. I stopped and waited and he nodded in appreciation and told me "nice bike" and I said thanks you too.

I then pulled to another open pump and got my gas.

I was pleasantly surprised to have a positive comment from the sportbike kid. I get many more comments when I am on the GS than when on the Harley for some reason.

It is nice when we all get along...

If your fun thread was killed off, because some guy you don't know made a couple of comments, then you are truly weak.

This thread is immortal. It doesn't even sleep for a few weeks or months like other long threads. It will soon pass the two year mark and keep right on going. It has survived many side trips into various irrelevant and barely relevant topics.

I haven't posted much on the thread because I view every comment about my bikes as conversation starters rather than stupid questions and have a hard time twisting the comments to make people sound stupid. And I wave at all other bikes regardless of type and most wave back. When little kids show an interest, I'll let them sit on the bike if they want, and I'll let them push the starter button to start the engine for me, which often gives them a thrill. But I don't give test rides to random strangers, and don't do wheelies when asked.

We're all motorcyclists here. Let's get back to the original topic and move the anti-brand discussions to a different topic.

And Daddyo, welcome to the forum.

I'm sitting at a stoplight with my wife next to a really noisy bagger blasting an even louder radio.

She looks over at me and says "Why's his radio so loud?"

I just shrugged "Dunno. Why's he wearing ear plugs and no helmet?"

Hmm, dunno if I posted this here or not, so excuse me if it's a repost. Just happened the other night. Was getting gas in the bad part of town (read: near where I live ) and a very wrinkly little lady who was obviously addicted to something, wearing a short skirt and high heels came up to me and said "For two dollars can you give me a ride down the street?" I misinterpreted her as asking for money. "Sorry, plastic only, I don't carry cash." "WHAT YOU MEAN, BOY?!" " I don't have any cash, ma'am (It's so hard to be respectful to druggies >,>)." "You heard me wrong! Give me a ride! I give you two dollars!" When I finally understood, I was extremely repulsed, and was able to make an excuse, which she argued with. "See my tag ma'am? I'm under 21. Can't take passengers without a helmet." "YOU CAN RIDE WIDDOUT A HELMET!" she said as I put my helmet and gloves on, after putting the pump in its place (thank God for prepay). "No ma'am, I'm under 21, me or passengers have to be wearing a helmet, and this is the only one I have" "I NOT UNDER 21 THOUGH GIMME A RIDE!" Bike started, in gear "Have a good night ma'am!" peel off. The under 21 tag only applies to the operator of the motorcycle so I was lying, but I think that it was a great excuse myself.

I passed by her waiting for the bus the other day. One of those faces you can't forget. Ugh. It's one thing giving a crackhead a ride out of the kindness of your heart (done it once, never again) but a begging one wearing a friggin short skirt and heels? No. Just....eww.

I think they are loud so blind people can hate them too.

I noticed that you stated "at the crank" so that's the first hedge. I considered your claim quite suspect, but rather than let you pollute this thread any farther, I made a new one in Road Warriors called "130hp Harleys?"
