The HD lifestyle thing is too stupid for words.
It must be a regional thing. You would be amazed at how many HD riders out this way wear High-Viz gear and Full Face Helmets. This may also be due in part to Team Oregon (Oregon’s version of MSF)

As to the waving between riders thing... I think it is juvenile to go about waving at other riders you don't know simply because they choose a similar mode of transportation.

RP: WOW 23,000 miles on a single cylinder?
Me: Nah its not bad, these things last forever
RP: nah no way, I've heard that your lucky to get to 10k or 20k.
Me: Damn, I should start looking for a new one! Thanks for the advice...

They actually think they helped me decide to sell my baby...

SHhhhh!!! Don't tell my DR 650 that it has expired over 5000 miles ago. I plan to keep it a secret for another 50K then throw a big bore kit in it and go for another 30.

Went to the grocery today and ran into a old HS girl friend. Her husband rides a KTM Duke and is ATGATT.
I'm on my Buell, in my gear, carrying a helmet in my hand, basket in the other.

Her: Did you ride to the grocery?
Me: No Maria, I'm just that clumsy!

She had this look on here face, like "dammit asshole you got me"

We laughed and hugged goodbye.
