This past summer on a 4,500 mile round-trip from Pittsburgh, PA to Montana while wearing ATGATT:

North Dakota Chick: "Wow, you rode all the way here from Pennsylvania on that?"
Me: "Yes"'
North Dakota Chick: "Are you wearing hockey pants?"

She asks: "Is that for here or to go?"
Before I can answer, a guy behind the counter with her says: "You better make it for here - it might be kind of inconvenient for him to hold the cup WHILE HE'S RIDING HIS MOTORCYCLE." We all (including the lady) laughed.

The next time I was there, maybe a month later, the guy is there but not the lady. I ordered a cup of coffee and he obviously remembered me: "That's to go, right?"

I agree - drinks are "to go" items for guys who live on motorcycles. Weekenders... sure... they'll walk into a restaurant to eat. I guess that's part of the allure ... having a place to go on their motorcycle.

Put a lid on the coffee or smoothie, and I'll stuff it in my saddle-bag with my fast-food order, then take it to where I'm headed. And I only go through the drive-through on my bikes.

Stop drinking Dunkin Donuts-like dish water (some call it coffee) and drink coffee of proper strength. Then a half quart will give you heart palpitations. It will taste a whole lot better too.

Ha ha! 10-4 on that! I think you're talking about "Navy" coffee.

All I know is if I don't get a caffeine jolt first thing in the AM, I'm toast the rest of the day.

This same model is available in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 quart size.

But I agree with pretbek, you shouldn't need to drink more of 16 oz of a "proper" coffee.

I like mine very strong...so I usually add an espresso shot into it. But I wouldn't drink 500ml of espresso alone, it's more than 10 shots!

another stupid question..

My wife and I were eating lunch, wearing textile overpants and with our jackets draped over chairs (helmets left with bikes). A girl looks at our pants and says "hey, were you guys just snowboarding?"

We were in downtown Atlanta. In late March. It was over 70.
