Haha.. I asked for a Tuesday once. Person at the counter put the order in and I got my Tuesday... tastes a lot like a Sundae.

[QUOTE=lethe;18735822Hell, I'd do it every day on the bike in the decent weather but it's such a waste of tires.
[/QUOTE]

Waste?! Anything on a bike is never a waste. Just ride it...

After waiting in my riding gear for ~15 minutes for the woman in front of me to get out of the line at the cell phone shop.

Her: [looks me over] Do you have a Harley outside?
Me: [annoyed, hesitated] Umm, nnnnnnnnyeah.
Her: Are you sure it's a Harley?
Me: Are you sure going to waste more of our time with stupid questions?

She left. Finally.

I don't know, I view highway as a waste of tires and it would take forever to get in if I avoided highways.
The car gets the same fuel economy so I can't use that excuse either.

I'll do it again but won't have a good answer why when asked that particular stupid question as the reason would be hard to put into words.

I don't think you're a true motorcyclist with that attitude. I'll take any excuse to be riding a motorcycle. I'll run errands that wouldn't be worth the trip in a car, but I count it as riding, so the distance doesn't matter. I ride to work whenever it's not raining (yeah, I'm a fair weather rider). Tires and fuel are things that get used up while enjoying riding.

You need to get your priorities straight.

I'm sorry sir!
I'll get right on that and start riding in.
Until my wife yells at me for my new tires every 3 weeks habit.

I've got to go with the other guys on this one. I can understand your taking any excuse to go for a ride, but multiple hours everyday on a straight-ish highway isn't going to be very enjoyable and is just going to flat spot your tires. Maybe not so bad if you're on the darkside...

The National True Motorcyclist Association.

They attempt to clarify, quantify, and document every question or debate related to motorcycles, even tangentially.

ADVrider has been a most useful source for them.

I don't think you're a true motorcyclist if you're alergic to water. And you own a car? Get your priorities straight

Most of the time I ride I seem to attract storm clouds, so maybe my having no issue riding in downpours and hail offsets my lack of enthusiasm for doing my long commute on a bike.
I do own a bunch of cars (half of them even run ) so I'm a loser there I guess.

Motorcycles are rain magnets, don't ya know?

Having a draught in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, et al? Just hold a big motorcycle rally. Problem solved!
