The problem was he wasn't joking! He genuinely thought it was only punctured at the bottom of the tyre..... And was completely embarrassed when I explained to him the whole tyre was flat...
You should have told him to push it until the flat part was on TOP, then he could ride it home. QED.

Better than words

I used to have a BMW RT and rarely got comments. Now I have a new to me Ducati ST4. I took my youngest for a ride this weekend and while sitting in the left turn lane a gentlemen driving a Buick next to use just sat there and drooled through the entire light cycle. It was the funniest thing ever.

I think you could put a Ducati sticker on an SV650 and a lot of people would be "impressed" with it. When I used to ride a Ducati ST2, I got a lot of comments that I'm pretty sure were directly related to the word on the tank.

So yes, I tend to smell like exhaust after riding that bike.
Could it also be that we're in the airstream of the exhaust(s) from all the other cars on the road?

If you or someone in front of you is running rich, I think that's a big part of it. Once I drove by somebody's yard at night and somebody was smoking outside. I wasn't there but a split second but I smelled a little like weed when I got home.

WR250R Question

I get one of these a day

How fast does it go?
What does that thing cost?
Isn't that bike too small for you?
Can you ride a wheelie?
Do a wheelie?
Can that thing do a wheelie?

I got this one today as I walked into my office. "whutz the biggest hill you ever climbed on that thing? In return I said "how can I answer that?"

I have a good nose, often smelled the weed they were smoking in their cars. In traffic, may help to identify the smokey car as they may just be one of them road hazards.

That particular aroma is a very pervasive one. Ask any Cop.

he looked at me confused, and at that moment i realized that he was dead serious. He replied "i'm going to have to look that up. I can't imagine that a passenger on any motorcycle can ride legally without a helmet."

he spent a solid half hour sitting at the dog park googling this on his iphone. He finally surfaces with a "you're right, there isn't anything!"
i would never make eye contact with him

When I was young and innocent I asked a friend what it smelt like.

He replied "burning jocks" (underpants)
He omitted to mention the vital detail that the elastic had started burning too.

Realy funny one.

Stupidest question I ever got was my brother on a brand new Harley bagger and me on a POS 1975 xl250 honda stopped in a bar.
Helmets on the table, beer just ordered, some drunk walked over and said ``Who is driving the awesome bike?``
I point at my brother and say, He's riding the Harley.
Drunk replies `Not the Harley, the awesome old Honda`
Laughs where had all around, but the guy was amazed that my old honda was still drivable.

These all sound very familiar. Ditto.
