Oh, forgot.....

Public service announcement.... If you are a guy, and you are talking to a female rider and you discover that she does her own wrenching, better to say, "wow, not a lot of people can do that" rather than "wow, not a lot of women can do that". We fucking hate that shit, and you are immediately relegated to troglodyte status.

Senior engineers, I'm looking at you....

There are only riders and/or wrenches. It has nothing to do with gender so why would anybody mention it.

If I still had every dollar I spent on motorbikes I would be a richer man but a poorer person.

Both are reasonable and true statements IMO - Not many people do their own wrenching these days, and only a small percentage of those that do (or ever did) are of the fairer sex.

...but I heard ya and will think twice before I open my mouth.

It just freaks me out. I'd rather swap warped head stories than explain my upbringing.

I gotta say, the Ferrari F430 might just be the most beautiful automobile I've ever seen.
In Arkansas? Must be some of that Walmart money.

"Cold?" as in, "(Are you) cold?"

This was at a powersports dealership from a parts guy as I walked to the counter. It wasn't so much stupid as unexpected; it was sunny and ~60 F outside.

Sunny or not, where I come from -60 f is too cold for motorcycles.
