Not to mention all the finger pointing that goes on around here.

Fuck it. Point me to the nearest bar.

Awwwww.....c'mon...........What's the point?
I thought the point of this thread, was to point people toward the generally pointless comments by people who simply don't get the point of what and why we do what we do it.....isn't THAT the point????

(we return you now to your previously pointless thread...)

I was stuffing my face at a local mexican food place the other day and one of the employees walked up to me and said, "Uhh... can I ask you a question?" "Sure." "Where on Earth did you take that thing?!!" (motioning out the window to my Ninja)

They've been doing road construction by my house and I haven't washed it in months, except to swab the filth off the lights.

I ride over to the Salton Sea. It's 119F outside and I go through a deserted neighborhood of 1970s era travel trailers with flea-bitten dogs dying slow deaths on the porch toward the beach and when I get there and am getting off the bike an old man with a huge beer belly stumbles out on his porch shaking his fist. I think I must have woken him from a Bud Lt-induced coma or something cause he was fighting mad.

"Get that dirtbike the fuck off the beach!"
"I'm not on the beach. I'm on the street." (shocked, not mad yet)
"No fuckin' dirtbikes allowed!"
"Fuck you, you loudmouth asshole. I have a license plate and will take my "dirt" bike wherever I want to. Either go inside and mind your own damned business or STFU."

If people ask me questions when I have my helmet on, I ussually point to my ear and make a NO sign. I can't ussually hear anyone w/ the helmet on since I wear ear plugs. Occasionally I get questions when getting on the bike. I've had friend tell me I look rather ticked w/ my normal face though. Probably does a whole bunch to fend off the interesting questions.

I'd have been pissed for calling it a 'beach'
It's a bunch of tiny seashells, finely crushed death more than a 'beach'
It smells kinda off, there's little critters all over it trying to eek out a life, and there's a billion flies hovering around.

Still, compared to the 'town' it is their Riviera I guess.

Today

Pull up to Walfart to get some cheapo paint, I take off my helmet and start to walk into the store. It is raining, but not hard. big whoop-de-doo...
Employee on her break is smoking and asks me "Isnt this the wrong type of weather for you to be out there?"

"No, Its wonderful" I smile and reply in a happy tone. She says nothing and takes another drag.

Of course I was actually quite cozy and dry in my Highland 1pc!
