Very nice video, I liked it!

I like the rearward POV's.. I recently purchased an HD keychain cam to put on my micro stuff.. My favorite POV on the planes is rear-facing..

Here's one I did with my Sbach flying off my deck in some IFR conditions:

Damn, Larry! You're gonna put an eye out with that thing!!!

That keychain camera looks like it does a pretty nice job. And it must be tiny for that little Sbach to carry it around. Got a link??

Nice screen grab!! hahahaa... My fingers have the reflexes of a mongoose!! ;)

That is the "real" 808 #16 keychain cam.. There's LOTS of sub-par fakes out there.. This is the one you want if you are getting one -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-V2-Lens-B...item2323c75ad6

$48 shipped.. HD video, good stuff.. I took the case off to shave some weight. Also the battery has a plug so I used a 70mah Vapor battery to shave even more weight. The Sbach will handle it with stock battery, but the small battery is even better.

Here's another video I made with a couple other aircraft - this is previous version of keychain cam, not as good of quality:

I've got a few of the original 808 #6 I think.... problem is with a 8gb card they often shut down after about a minute of video. I guess it's due to the card, but these are pretty slow cards which is supposed to be better....pita.

I can't believe how good the video quality is for such a cheap camera. 5 years or more back I was experimenting with AV and AP starting with a homemade swiveling/rotating mount made from paint stirrers holding my nikon 3200 onto a mini telemaster, with an HS-55 servo rigged to trip the shutter. That took some good stills, but the video was awful. Then I "upgraded" to a modded pencam sd. It was lighter, but the pictures and video were worse. I need to get something modern...

Video has come a LONG way in just a few years.

That's cool! How did you measure the speed?

Speed measurement

Speed was measured with a "Voltron" GPS. It's a really small unit made for RC. Hobby king also has a rebranded GPS that is the same. It plugs into any open slot on the reciever and measures total distance traveld, max altitude, max speed, total run time etc. I originally bought it for my sailplanes.

You mean water is found in a liquid state?......around here it is all solid.

I also envy you flying in IFR...that means there is no wind....lately a calm day is a 20mph wind....god I hate this time of year

I maidened the little Crack Yak on Saturday early evening. When they say you should have calm conditions they mean it. Any breeze at all really affects a 4 ounce airplane. Trying to trim it was impossible so I went with trying to keep it out of the trees instead. I failed at that also...I do have to say that the EPP foam is very tough stuff. :)

I really want one of those! I have the standard Crack Yak and it does well outside in the wind but for indoors I'd like the Mini Yak.

I'm sure much of the issue is with my fingers and the fact I haven't flown 3D in 10 years or more. Does your Yak have an tendency to nose up in knife edge or during banked turns?

Do you turn using mainly rudder or mainly aileron/elevator or a combo? I'm reading that these little foamies want to turn using rudder or rudder aileron mix.
