All it's missing is an after-burner. ![]() Turbines are cool but I still like the sound of a radial.

Top that. A question about an R/C airplane fantasy I've harbored for years: has anyone ever been crazy/ambitious enough to build a flying R/C B-36? Is such a thing within the bounds of reason?

The Electric Scale forum never ceases to amaze me. I've seen a build thread on a 104" WS Zeppelin Straken R-7 running six motors, and there was Martin Hunter's big Russian monstrosity, I think it was the 1930's 10 motored Tupolev ANT 20.. Here's the thread.. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...hlight=Tupolev Incredible scratchbuild by Martin, I'm totally in awe, and he and his wife lived in a tiny house.

Probably last video highlights of the big Cheesy Poof.
It's slow, boring, self indulgent, and unless you've built something from scratch and launched it; waaaay too long. ![]() But it was very fun, very rewarding, and has given me the confidence to move on to bigger and better things. |
