Wannabee, thanks for the information and confirmation. I've been reading all over and can't find many bad things about the Stampede 4x4 vlx. I read it's a great RC to play around with and a good base for a racing setup if I ever decide to go that route.

02Tac, thank you for the links. I want to pick up some batteries so I can loop through them while goofing off. Those look like a good alternative to the crazy expensive ones i've been seeing. Also, lowering the body was the first thing on my list. I'll check out the YouTube link when I get home. :)

Thank you! Hopefully I have it by the 31st.

I am not going to buy a plane from them until they get a USA warranty process set up. Right now, if you have issue with somethign you have to send it to China. In teh case of a plane, it might cost you as mush to ship as the plane cost you in the first place.

Finally got to watch this video. The drop in the body makes a pretty big impact visually. It's on my list of mods. :)

I hope to pick it up tonight, assuming things work out and they still have it in stock.

Awesome, EvilGenius! Less drag, no retreating blade problems, no tail rotor to power. Very similar to the Kyosho Hyperfly from YEARS ago!

Well, under the suggestion of the hobby store owner, I ended up grabbing a Traxxas Slash 4x4. It's completely waterproof, other then the bearings and it goes stupid fast. This is the first one I've owned like this, so it's a new experience for me. Tons of fun and a quick way to get something dirty and catch air. Now I just have to avoid object like the mailbox and bushes... lol

make some holes for the air to escape , those short course bodies are like kites in the air. Great choice though, Traxxas makes some great stuff.

Will do. Sadly, i've already broken 2 a-arms on the thing. One on the front and one on the rear. First the rear was clipping a mailbox. I got that one fixed and I broke the front one on a tree in the backyard. I've almost gotten the hang of this thing, it's just taking a bit. lol Either way, it's bunch of fun. :)
