Based on the experiences i've had, the blade heli is a nice one and the ones you have a picture don't compare. I have a blade MCX and a chinese brand that looks like the ones above. The Blade is way nicer and way more fun. The ones above are a waist of cash to me. I'd rather spend the extra money and get a nicer unit. It think the main reason for that is the prop setup.

Just finished completely recovering this Model Tech Blue Max thanks to a busted fuel tank...
Similar to the original scheme, with a few more appealing touches, plus checkerboard on the wings. Pretty happy with the way this one turned out. ![]() ![]() Should be flying it this weekend. Next up to finish, my 3D cub... |

I like my electric planes, got rid or converted my gas planes. I just found it so much cleaner...charge a few packs and out I go. Biggest electric I have is a P-39 convertion.

Dodged a bullet the other day with one of my planes. She went totally dead, but by some mirical she glided in and only knocked the gear loose. When I went and picked he up the ESC reset. Turns out the positive lead was never soldered properly. Got he home, cut the heat shrink off teh ESC and this is what I had.
![]() Pretty sure the only thing that was ever holding the positive wire in place was the heat shrink! A quick solder job, a bit of heat shrink and all was good again.

Who's ESC was it....for my little foamy panes I generally use cheap Hobby King stuff, for the wood planes I do get the better electrics....but truth be known I have never had a problem with any of the HK stuff.

Power up ESC from Heads Up RC. This is the only one I have ever had a problem with. Over the years, I have had problems with just about ever brand of gear. Hey, somethings a mistake occurs in the manufacturing process.

A little plane I designed and built from scratch. E-Flite Park 450 motor with a 4-cell battery. 38" wingspan.
![]() Contour Roam HD camera fits on top just right... ![]() I noticed after landing that the motor mount screws had vibrated loose. If you look closely in the video you can see the edge of the spinner moving up & down. Luckily the motor didn't pop off in flight!!
