While preflighting my SSX ( http://www.millenniumrc.com/SlowStickX_XTrainer.html ) yesterday, I noticed something odd with the motor. A slight tug on the prop and....

The grub screw on teh motor shaft loosed up. I swapped out that E-Flight motor with a 450 motor from Headsuprc ( http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...-Slofly/Detail ) that has a circlip in addition to the grub screws. Plus it is a bit more powerful that the E-Flight motor.

Remaidened this one.

I really want to get into wood planes. I just am not ready yet. Its nice being able to come home, glue my mistakes, put some tape over it to hold it until the glue dries, and then fly it the next day. I crash too often to get into wood planes. Once I get some more time under my belt I will get some. I really like the e-flite AT-6.

Another in-flight video, this one with a slightly hopped-up E-Flite Mini Pulse. It was a nice clear day, so I took it up high for some panoramic shots, then back down low for some aerobatics and low inverted passes.

I was the same way, and am now drifting back to foam. Make no mistake the wood planes do fly better, but at my point in flying where I don't want to repair and build. I do not crash much I just have a problem with the trees and judging where the plane is in relation to them....when coming in to landing is very hard for me if doing a east west landing...and the wind in my area tells me that is how I have to come in most the time.

The parkzone warbirds are very nice planes as are the airfield fms planes.

I am going to stay foam for a little while.....I will post up some pics of my different planes.

Here are the few pics of RC stuff I have on photobucket....the P39 is the largest that I have and is electric converted over from nitro....the old Losi use to run oval...the DS I ran against current sedans and just had a ball with it, the old RC10 in the background I ran against current buggies in stock and did pretty darn well with it....so much so I let my son run my newer buggy. The 1/5 scale buggy is a chinese knock off of the HPI Baja...so far every HPI part has fit. I got this buggy about 3-4 years ago and it is still going strong....only thing I have busted is a-arms and spurr gears.

I will post up some other pics of the planes and other cars....I have been wanting to photo all my stuff.

The 1/5 is a Kingmotors car, and I got it off of Ebay actually. This is when the clones first started to come out. I am still on the original 23cc motor and it is still going strong. I went and bought another stock motor from a HPI guy that had upgraded right out of the box after hearing all the stories about how these chinese motors will just blow up....mine just keeps running and running. I have even run it to the point where it got soft because it over heated. Some of this might have changed with the newer buggies but I found the clone plastic a little softer, more bendy then the HPI parts. I took the car out of the box filled it with gas, charged the batt and on the second pull it started....I even have a video of the first start....these videos are right out of the box...no tune no nothing.....I will also post up a pic of why I had a over heating problem.

So did I. It was too nice not to! I took the little Eflite Sbach 342 and the Blade MCPx to the park before work. Dead calm, sunny, and almost 50 degrees. Had the whole park to myself, too. I think these might be my two favorite aircraft right now, and they can both fit on the passenger seat. Now I gotta make a box to fit the rack on my WR...

Little video from my wannabe r/c... One of the classes I teach is building rubber band powered airplanes, so I had to demo it for them.

That is really cool footage. I used to fly RC and this kind of gets me excited about it again. About how much $ is wrapped up in the camera rig? Can you post a picture of how it's mounted to the plane? Thanks.
