That VTOL looks more like a STOL. Been watching too much of Dave Powers' STOL project.

How about this?

The Vapor invasion continues

That little thing has revolutionized the R/C arena, as they are relatively cheap, and easy to fly, in my opinion. They have invaded my flying field with at one time there were 7 of them up flying around (combat ensued shortly thereafter, but all flew again with minor repairs).

It's revolutionizing the industry too - the PZ brick with its rx, esc, and two linear servos on one tiny board for $59 was a breakthrough in the micro world which is now launching a whole new set of full house micro planes and equipment.
Cheap, light, and good.

Full house 3D control, 28 grams AUW.

Total cost - probably less than $125

Craigslist was my friend this weekend, when I picked up an XTM X-Terminator2 nitro-powered 4WD buggy.
Talk about traction!!
I just tooled around a parking lot with it yesteday to get a little feel for it.
It supposedly does 40 mph, and I don't doubt it.

I did bring a camera, but somehow my data card was locked so you'll have to make do witha google snap

Why doesn't anyone like to race nitro street cars anymore?

I've got two HPI RS4s at home.

The bigger one has a two speed and gets going pretty damn fast.

There use to be a vid of one doing 100mph.

I got something dirt-oriented because I figured it would be more useful for farting around with. I probably should've gotten a monster truck instead, but this was too much of a deal to pass up.

I can't wait to drive it off some sweet jumps.

I used to run some nitro touring cars, a group got together in a parking lot at a community college.

In the end there were so few places I could run them with out paying or pissing off the neighbors that they became sort of pointless.

If I were to buy a new RC vehicle it'd be one of those off road gas powered buggies.

RC Nut here too. Raced offroad cars/trucks. Fly planes, largest was an 9ft wingspan J-3, which destroyed itself 2 yrs ago, current larges is a 6.5 ft wingspan J-3 with a couple of 3-D stuff for screwing around.

Just ordered a Vapor for screwing around with at work when I'm bored.

While I was at the hobby shop buying a few bits, I noticed that they have rock-crawlers that look pretty interesting.
Supposedly they have batteries that last over a half hour now. I have an electric Traxxas monster truck, and I got bored with the 5 minute battery time.

There were a few poeple on here that had some crawlers and I don't remember who it was now. They do look cool.
